Holiday Inn Portland-By the Bay

very nice htel. The staff was very friendly and the shuttle service was excellent I would recommend to a friend.

Accidently made the reservation not seeing that it was a smoking room. They were sold out and we couldn't get a different room.

This hotel is an excellent alternative to othe hotel if you do not mind walking 4 blocks to go to the harbor area. The bay view rooms are great with moderate extra charge. Parking is free. My wife and I enjoyed our time in the hotel and Portland. Do not forget to take a tour aoround the island and eat a twin lobsters.

From the friendly check in to the time left, we could not fault the hotel staff or amenities. We used the bar for drinks and snacks and had the buffet breakfast; It was all good. Good location for a short walk to the town and harbour.

We were extremely impressed with the hotel including the restaurant! The food was outstanding and the service was great!

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was clean, the room is a good size and it had a great view of the water. Also, liked that they offered free shuttle service to the airport.

The free shuttle service from/to the airport and to/from the ferry was very convenient and efficient. A simple call to the front desk to arrange pick-up times. All drivers were pleasant and on time.

The customer service was excellent. Although we had a smoking room, I was disappointed with the strong odor of smoke and dirty carpets. I still expect a Clean room when I pay for it.

Great location. Very comfortable. The heat was not too responsive when we turned it up and the blankets were thin for a cool night. But you can't beat the location.

Everything was excellent. The location was perfect. Within walking distance of everything downtown. The best thing was the helpfulness of the staff. They were eager to recommend restaurants and places to go. The shuttle driver gave us a mini tour on the way to a restaurant.
