Clean and Nice hotelPosted Oct 28, 2013
Location: The location is great! Close to I5, with the Crab Shack andMcMenamins in walking distance!
The hotel and staff were great! Very clean and updated, we were surprised to find a full mini kitchen in the room. It was very nice! Our only complaint is the people above us must have been doing aerobics or running, because for 2 hours they walked back and forth starting at like 6. Very obnoxious, but not the hotels fault. Would definitely stay again, but maybe on the top floor.

Great location!Posted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Grounds were nice; Location was good; People were friendly; Room (bed, bedding, etc) was good; Coffee was great.
Cons: Breakfast food choices (it's a great breakfast for carb lovers though!).
Location: Close to Portland airport; greater Portland area; Vancouver Farmer's Market; Fort Vancouver; wine tasting/wineries & breweries abound.
The Homewood Suites in Vancouver, Washington, was a great place to stay in the Portland area. Room was nice, area was clean and felt safe, restaurants close by and a walking path by the river were convenient. My only complaint would be that the breakfast was not on par with other Homewood Suites I have visited. It's not a bad breakfast by any means, but for someone who must avoid refined carbs, the choices were not great and what was available was not very tasty. I would suggest adding a fruit salad and hard-boiled eggs or have items available to doctor up the scrambled eggs (dump the turkey sausages - they did not taste right). Coffee was great...people were friendly...facility was nice....thumbs up!!!

Great Hotel Near The WaterPosted Sep 3, 2013
Location: Good access to riverwalk
First time visit to Portland to see the LPGA golf tournament. Chose this hotel based on having stayed at another Homewood Suites, we were happy we did. Great location with a couple good restaurants within a 3 min walk, along with riverwalk and a corner coffee shop. Area is nice and safe and well kept. Room was large, clean and comfortable, hot breakfast tops it off.

Only staying at Hiltons!Posted Aug 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
We came to Vancouver to participate in a 5k race. Typically we would stay in a B & B but they were all booked. One place recommended we try Homewood Suites. We could not have found a better hotel for the price, comfort and quality! The breakfast kitchen made it easy to get a good breakfast each morning, the bed was really comfortable, it was quiet and the staff helpful and friendly. There is a lovely walkway along the river with a variety of restaurants along the way. We plan on looking for other hotels by Hilton when we travel!

Comfortable hotel close to river and restaurantsPosted Jul 31, 2013
Pros: Location, suite-size room
Cons: More fresh fruits and veggies for the breakfast and dinners. Most folks are eating healthier and expect a healthy menu.
Location: Awesome location! We loved that we could do a daily walk along the boardwalk and by Ft. Vancouver!
Very pleasant. Liked the welcome home dinners with beer and wine. Liked the complimentary breakfast, but include more fresh fruit.

Great Location - Short Drive to Portland, ORPosted Jul 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
The king bed suite with a separate room for sleeper sofa bed was the best part of our overnight trip from Everett, WA to the Oregon Zoo in Portland, OR. After leaving the zoo and arriving at the hotel, the manager on duty called our room about two hours after we checked in and was very courteous in answering my questions; specifically she let me know that DVD and CD players were available as part of the amenities, but had to be checked out from the front desk. The DVD player was a life saver with our three kids under the age of six years staying in the room. Hopefully none of the other guests in nearby rooms had as rough a night sleeping as the wife and I did. The pool and sport court looked well groomed / maintained, and the free breakfast in the lobby the following morning was pretty standard fare but perfect before our long drive back to Everett, WA. The immediate surrounding neighborhood is OK with a Fred Meyer and other shops in a nearby development, but don't wander much farther north or you start to get into some rundown areas. Would definitely recommend / book this hotel again.

Great SpotPosted Jun 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
My friend booked this hotel for the Vancouver Half Marathon. Great location for walks along the river and good restaurants nearby. I'd definitely stay here again and as a seasoned traveler, that's saying something!
