Nice atmosphere, very clean rooms, friendly staff.

We have stayed at the Hospitality Inn-Portland many times over the past 7 years and have never been disappointed. The rooms are very clean, the familiar face of the receptionist is always welcoming and the complimentary breakfast is very convenient. You serve yourself cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, juice, and can even cook your own waffles. The freshly baked cookies are always in the lobby to greet you when you arrive. My kids love that.

Portland

Pros: Smoking room with opening windows, as when I book a smoking room, don't expect to smoke in the room but would like to have opening windows or balcony.
Location: On bus route to city.
After staying at the Travellodge near the Space Needle in Seattle this place was terrific. Transport to the city was handy, plenty of restaurants close by. Good value for money.

Comfortable, inexpensive hotel near city center
Posted Jan 12, 2013
Pros: Clean, quiet, inexpensive, ability to open window for fresh air.
Cons: Nothing, really. Very satisfied for this class of hotel.
True to the majority of the other reviews, this hotel was clean, comfortable, and relatively inexpensive - only 10 minutes south of downtown Portland and conveniently located next to the I-5. We slept great with an open window rather than the poor, stuffy air quality in most high-rise hotels.

A best buy for your dollar
Posted Jan 4, 2013
Pros: Location with great access to hwy & the local area. Free parking. Great customer service.
Cons: Breakfast very basic-mostly starches, but room is such a great price that you can have breakfast at Starbucks nearby (walking distance) w/ the savings
Location: Good area - close to nice little arty district with shops, food, etc.
Older hotel, but in excellent condition. Room & public areas squeaky clean. Great customer service from management. Very helpful with local directions etc.

Hidden jewel for very affordable price
Posted Jan 28, 2013
Pros: Great room-lots of space, very clean. Hotel very nice. Safe neighborhood.
Cons: Breakfast-mostly starches. Not much choice.
Location: Good access to hwy & major roads into town.
Nice little jewel of a hotel. Easy access to hwy, sights, etc. Little artsy area nearby for shopping & good food. Room was great - roomy, clean, tv/fridge/microwave/coffee maker. Also, hair dryer & iron with board. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the facility considering the very affordable price. Only downside was the breakfast - very ordinary - mostly starches. However, for the great price of the room, you could walk to Starbucks or MacDonalds for breakfast. Both were next door to the hotel.

All good but the TV
Posted Jan 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
It is a nice place but the TV station selection and at times reception is not good so if TV is your thing then you may not like this place. Breakfast is minimal but at this price who cares. McDonald's is right next door.
