Hotel is very nice and clean. I enjoyed the pictures of celebrities decorated in the walls of the hotel. Peoples are very accomodating and the service was excellent.

Pros: Clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff, great onsite restaurant and bar.
Cons: The bathroom sink was clogged and slow to drain. I did not report it to staff, as I assumed that the housekeeper would have noticed.
Location: You're a ten to fifteen minute walk from the Pearl District and Downtown and conveniently located on both the Max and Tri-met bus lines.
I try to stay at the Hotel Deluxe whenever I visit Portland. The staff is consistently friendly and I love both Gracie's and the Driftwood. I was pleasantly surprised that I received an upper floor, corner suite. The hotel was quite and comfortable as always and is centrally located within a ten to fifteen minute walk of wherever I needed to be.

Nice hotel in great location for walking W PDX.

Pros: The architecture, the film themed posters all over the corridors and rooms and the bar.
Cons: The food. the hotel restaurant has such a great ambiance but I was disappointed with the food.
Location: The hotel is within walking distance to the fabulous Pearl district, downtown, and the waterfront.
We were welcomed by a friendly staff. They told us everything about the city, good dining spots and how to move around using public transportation. The happy hours are the best at The Driftwood and the overall hotel decor is really nice. Great location to walk all over west Portland. Public transportation is excellent.

Perfect for my weekend stay in Portland. Central enough to see most of the city on foot.

Wonderful experience!

Location: Perfect location. We walked to a concert at the Roseland Theatre. We walked to Powell's.
Everything was perfect. The decor, the staff, the food... all delightful. Our room was gorgeous. The color scheme is sublime. We were super comfortable. And the location cannot be beat.

Total Comfort

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: Quiet location, glamorous lobby and restaurant, spacious, sparkling 8th floor room with huge closet, elegant decor, warm, courteous and friendly staff
Cons: In time, replacing the slightly cracked sinks, and repainting the peeling outside window ledges that were prominently on view from our window.
This was a 2 night getaway for my husband and myself, in our 60's. We loved being able to leave our car in the hotel's carpark nearby and explore the downtown core of Portland on foot from our hotel each day. We covered the shopping district, riverside area, University, Saturday Market, Powell Bookstore, art galleries and enjoyed delicious food from restaurants and bakeries. After our second day of walking it was wonderful to feel pampered, enjoying the beautiful decor of Gracie's Restaurant in the hotel, and excellent food. The fact that we lucked into the $29 March dining month was a bonus. We enjoyed the many touches for our enjoyment, such as newspaper delivered to our door when asked, fruit bowl in the fitness room, offer to look after our luggage on the last day while we had a last exploration walk, and an attention to our needs that allowed us to enjoy our stay in total comfort. We will be back.

Wonderful 1940's/1950's theme.

Pros: (above)
Cons: Bathrooms begin to seem a little tired as new hallway carpets.
Location: The sport complex right next door. Local bars nearby.
Very comfortable with a wonderful hotel staff. Highly recommend it. The only negative is it's not in city center. But, makes up for it as you can take Max Train to/from airport.
