Very nice modern hotel!

The staff was very helpful with everything - from directions, to parking, and general accommodation. The hotel itself was very new, (I mean literal new carpet smell) modern motif, and the restaurant/bar had just opened the day before our arrival with a large variety of drinks from around the Portland area. So, yes. NEW. If you like the modern edgy look and it's a great place to stay. The only thing I can think of that might have been off-putting was the fur-esque throw blanket on the bed. (It sheds like crazy, so don't roll around on it's joyful softness with a black shirt on...like I may or may not have done...) Otherwise fantastic stay!

Barely Open.

Pros: The hotel is a good choice if you are looking for something within walking distance of Rose Quarter or Convention Center.
Cons: Bed & Bath designed for tall. Needed to use a chair to scale the bed. Couldn't reach shower head to adjust. Need footstools for kids/short people.
Location: Close to Moda and Convention Center as well as Lloyd district.
Stayed at the Eastlund a few days after opening so still undergoing renovation and restaurant not yet open. Staff were friendly and helpful.
