Excellent location and facilities

Posted Jul 31, 2015
This hotel is newly established (smells new), located at a very convenient place to convention center, train line and the downtown. The staff was excellent. Even though I arrived very early in the morning, they let me check in the room. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet at nights. The hotel has couple very nice restaurants, one is on the 6th floor with a nice view and bar, with reasonable price.

Pros: Bed was comfortable, room and hotel were clean. Restaurant and bakery were great. Very close to train and convention center.
Cons: Noise reduction!
The room I stayed in faced the street and I didn't get a single good night sleep during the 4 nights staying there. The walls are thin and the train passes by every 5 minutes until midnight or later, plus the hallway was noisy. Street traffic and train were super noisy resulting in an exhausting stay from lack of sleep. Otherwise, the hotel is nice and comfortable but I would not stay here again because of this.

Great new hotel

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Almost brand new hotel with that "new building" smell.
Location: This hotel is very close to the convention center, so it's super convenient if you're in Portland specifically for an event there.
This hotel is pretty brand new, it's so new the pictures on Expedia are still just 3D renders of the place. Because it was so new everything looked pristine. The air conditioning/vent in our room was a bit loud but outside of that the room was great and the staff was also top notch. It's not as close to downtown Portland as the other hotels but there are still a fair number of restaurants close to Eastlund that were walkable and DELICIOUS! I would recommend this place for people traveling to Portland.

Conveniently located, lovely ambiance, outstanding

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Everything! The decor, down pillows, friendly helpful staff, lobby, restaurant/bar, location, service, comfy bed, the view, the price--terrific!
Cons: The throw blanket on the bed shed a lot of synthetic fiber from one side. But the other side was so worth it.
Location: Across the street from the mass transit stop. Great restaurants nearby. Loved it.
I'll be staying at Hotel Eastund every time I go to Portland! And I'll recommend it to everyone I know.

Nice hotel near to MAX Train.

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: The friendliness of the staff, The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel was very close to the MAX train.
Cons: The entrance for your vehicle could be signposted better. Also some way to let you know how much Valet parking will cost you.
Location: The convention center is across the road and the MAX train gives you access to shops, restaurants and tourist attractions. Denny's is next door.
We were met by hotel staff who Valet Parked our vehicle. The lobby of this hotel is modern and reminded me of a Scandinavian hotel. It did not take long to get checked in which was great since we had been travelling for a while. All the staff we encountered were very courteous and helpful. They made you feel very welcome. Would have liked to have been told what the charge for Valet parking would cost us each night so there were no surprises when checking out.

Awesome hotel for a renovation of a very pld building. Just recently completed, so there are a few things that show it was just reno'd, but that doesnt matter at all. Friendly, helpful staff all around! Comfy updated rooms! Great services! Didnt get to try the restaurant but it looks good.

Cool, modern hotel in Portland

Posted Jul 14, 2015
Pros: Clean, nice staff and good location
The Hotel Eastlund is a cool, modern art filled hotel located in Portland. The rooms are lovely and the hotel has a really fun vibe. The restaurant on the roof, Altabira was a wonderful place to hang out in the late afternoon sun and the food was great.

Best Hotel Close to the Convention Center

Posted Jul 11, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness, New, Open, Modern feel, safe and close to Convention Center within a reasonable price
Cons: I tossed confidence in the staff when they told me the restaurant was the best in town, but had not eaten there. Provide food for the staff so they l
Location: Great proximity to Convention Center and Starbucks
Check in was a welcoming experience. Friendly attendant and modern open lobby. Room was small, but very upscale as it came to cleanliness, modern look and feel. Bed was very comfortable. Got into Dining room 10 minutes prior to close. I was not rushed out which I expected and the staff was friendly. I would stay there again for business and from the looks of other places close by this was by far the best in the neighborhood.
