“Cool hotel; great location”
Rooms are a little small and there is no closet or chest of drawers. But the bed was very comfortable and the room clean and Eco-friendly. The hotel is convenient to the downtown without being in the middle of all of the main city crowd activity.
“Trendy hotel”
Very trendy, some rooms near the bar can be loud but it does not last too late. Get a room on the second floor, in the first floor rooms you can hear people walking around upstairs.
“Quality Stay for Price”
Would not have chosen this property, but the price was unbeatable. Now that I've stayed, I would do so again.
“Zen Den”
I highly enjoyed the Jupiter Hotel. The bed & bedding were extremely comfortable, the details well thought out, bathroom accessories excellent. Good towels too. The wifi worked like a charm; I would only wish for one thing: a bigger desk. Staff is cool, and the adjoining restaurant / lounge has a great atmosphere, good food and good tunes.
“hot place to stay in portland”
a very modern and hopping hotel. ikea meets 1950's. Attached to a great bar (Doug Fir).
“young, hip and fun”
we very much enjoyed this hotel, it is above a very hip and happening bar and restaurant that serves food till 4 am. it worked great for our trip, although i would not recomend staying there if you are an early to bed early to rise sort of person. super fun, cool vibe.
“Fun Hotel”
Not only were the beds comfortable and the rooms stylish, the doors were covered in chalkboard material and the rooms had complimentary chalk. It was fun to decorate. There was also a great coffee shop right across the street and the hotel bar was fun.
“Entertaining and Well Staffed”
They were extremely courteous and the entertainment was extrodinary. Although I traveled alone, I did not feel alone, there was always a friendly smile offered by any and all of the staff members. I was veery impressed. Oh the beds... so comfortable!
“Jupiter Hotel and Doug Fir”
Very hip and reasonably-priced boutique hotel located in the very happening east side of Portland. Hip and helpful staff with lots of useful local cultural knowledge, clean rooms with cool furniture, iPod speakers, secure parking in the basement, and the very excellent Doug Fir Lounge right next door for great food, drinks, and lots of attractive post-modern arty patrons. Convenient to highways and public transport, close enough to downtown to walk. I'll stay there again on my next visit. Be aware of the "Noisy" and "Quiet" sides of the hotel when booking your room.
“Fun place for a getaway”
We had a nice getaway there. Recommended.
