Cheap hotel close to downtown.. Does it's job.

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: I liked that the front desk immediately started putting chemicals in the pool and hot tub to prepare for people to swim in it.
Cons: The curtains did not keep light out and were very transparent. I thought all the curtains closed not just the shear ones.
Location: There really is nothing to do at the hotel since it's in the Industrial part of Portland. Your best bet is to drive to downtown (8-10 min).
There wasn't anything that stood out from any other hotel I've been to. Nothing screamed out leisure to me. The only thing that seemed to attract me was how close it is to downtown and the price, but the location is right by the industrial side of Portland. While driving there, I kept asking myself is this really where the hotel is located

Facilities

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Yes the area of Portland the hotel leaves something to be desired. It's right next to the train yards. The room was clean, the walls are thin. But the back breaker for me was the beds. We stayed in room 308, the two queen beds were soft. The one closest to the window was like a hammock! I sat down on the bed and I wanted to say, "I've fallen and I can't get up." The fitness room is located in the basement (their 1st floor) so if you use gps type of exercise app, it doesn't work well. Fitness equipment wasn't clean, there were no towels or cleaning solutions to use to clean the equipment before/after use.

Great stay in Portland

Posted Nov 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
I LOVED the fact that the gym and the pool/hot tub were open 24hr. The breakfast was great as well. The neighborhood is quite business/industrial so not much to see within walking distance but its just a quick drive to downtown Portland! I would definitely stay here again!

Not worth it

Posted Nov 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
Well, we gave it a try but will never stay here again if we go back to Portland. The location was not bad; easy bus ride to town. The lady at the front desk was super nice. BUT, the hotel was pretty gross. The first room we were given smelled so badly that I thought I was going to throw up; someone obviously smoked a lot in that room even though it's a non-smoking hotel. The second room we were given had a bad toilet which overflowed and flooded the room. Apparently two or three other toilets overflowed that night as well so it must have been a larger plumbing issue. The final room we stayed in was fine but the many issues do not justify the price for one night on the outskirts of town.

Not too shabby

Hotel staff was friendly and eager to help. The room was nice but the bed was a bit uncomfortable. All in all a nice stay in the portland area.

Zoo friendly location

Posted Nov 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
Clean, nice hotel. Friendly staff. Nice pool. Good variety free breakfast. Quiet overall. A little hard to find and nothing in walking distance but plenty within a few minutes drive. This trip was to see the zoo with my husband, 4 year old and 1 year old daughters. We don't stay in hotels often but this one was great for the price!

Convenient, clean and quiet!

Cons: no restaurant on site but they had coffee and hot water available 24/7!
Good value for the price! Stayed 1 night and found it to be clean and quiet. Breakfast adequate and nice room. Staff were great! Ate at the subway across the way which was fine.
