Fantastic hotel in a great location
Posted Jan 16, 2013
Pros: Great location, great staff, nice rooms, fantastic onsite restaurant
Cons: More comfortable beds
Location: Location is great, about a 10 minute walk to the center of town. Also real close to the beach!
This is the place that I love to stay at when I am in Kennebunkport. It is located in a great location, just about a 10 minute walk away from the center of town. The hotel staff were great, even remembered that I stayed there the year before. There is a great restaurant inside the hotel and the food is great. Breakfast is great as well. This is the perfect place to stay at! We stayed in a room at the portside lodge and we really liked the room. It was modern and very cozy, and had a great view.

One night stay
Posted Jan 4, 2013
Pros: Quaint feel
Cons: Offer excursions but not well organized
Location: Walking distance to main strip of shops in Kennebunkport
We checked in very late and the front desk was very welcoming and friendly. We received a free upgrade to a water front room. Even though it was cold and it the 40s and we couldn't sit outside on the balcony, it was nice waking up and having such a nice view. The hallways and elevator were very dated so we were concerned with how the room would look. We were pleasantly surprised that the room was much more modern and must have been recently updated. The feeling was more like a studio apartment than a hotel but we did enjoy our one night there. The breakfast was complementary and had some nice offerings on the buffet. We signed up for the lobster boat excursion at the front desk and arrived to the site five minutes early but the boat left us. On the sign up sheet it asked for a phone # which we left so we felt they should have called us if they were going to leave early.

Excellent stay

We were really impressed with Nonantum. We were looking for a last-minute weekend getaway, someplace we could relax, enjoy a nice view, hit a local restaurant or two. Our view from the Portside Building was awesome -- a very peaceful view of the river as it enters the bay. The gas stove was a great addition to our fall getaway. Staff were friendly and directed us to parking and good restaurants in town. We went at the end of November, so the place was pretty quiet, which is what we were looking for. Our room included breakfast, which we were surprised was a full buffet. Terrific food. We hope to stay there again.

Great stay!!

Gorgeous inn, reasonably priced compared to other times I have spent time in Kennebunkport. Full, delicious breakfast in the morning. The walls are thin, as many other reviewers have stated, but they do offer noise machines, and at that price, comfort and view; one can overlook hearing the neighbors.

Nice hotel but a bit noisy

We had a nice room, but with the hardwood floors in the rooms, you could hear every step and move on the floor above you.

Picturesque location and quaint hotel
Posted Jan 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel resort had many features to make guests comfortable, the food and service was excellent. The rooms were quaintly decorated but had some slightly annoying lighting in the bathroom ( came on automatically and turned off automatically leaving you in the dark)
