Close to airport and affordable

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: Close to airport and affordable
Cons: Eliminate the damage deposit
Safe, tidy, clean. Unfortunately, the owners have identified the need to collect a damage deposit in addition to the prepaid rate. It is refunded if you don't damage the room, but a real hastle.

Good, Basic Accommodations at a Great Price

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Pros: The room was nearly new, very clean, and well-equiped with microwave, fridge, steady wifi, comfy bed and a good cup of coffee in the morning.
Cons: Nothing that I could suggest.
Location: Convenient to the airport, Ikea, and places in East Portland.
We travel to Portland a few times every year and were looking for a reliable, clean place to stay at a good price. I think we have found it in the Nordic Motel. It is located east of the airport on the old highway to Mt. Hood—not really convenient to any of the Portland hot spots like the Pearl District, but at about half the price of any other reliable place a little driving is worth it.

Beds and pillows were in excellent condition and very comfortable. Coffee in the office was good even had flavored creamers.wish there was a coffee pot in the room, due to me being an early riser.

Great place to stay

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Pros: The price, it was clean and good location.
Cons: Nothing
Location: It was about 15min drive to downtown.
We had a great stay. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable. There was a train nearby but it wasn't so loud that it was a problem.

Clean, comfortable, convenient, not fancy

Posted Oct 26, 2014
Pros: Very clean, very well maintained, quite comfortable.
Cons: 1 - shelf in the bathroom by the sink for toiletries 2 - area rug or door mat next to front door for taking off wet shoes
Yes I could hear the train but it was not intrusive, less noisy than most street noise. The room was very clean and comfortable, on the small side, but that's fine with us. All essentials, fixtures, and furniture were newer, working and in very good condition. Lots of hot water and good water pressure in the shower, plenty of towels. The place is clearly cared for and well maintained. Staff were helpful and made us feel welcome. We would definitely stay there again.

Weekend seeing old friends

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Motel was super clean and seemed like it was recently renovated. Midsize fridge, microwave, dvd player all nice features. Carpets looked new. Curtains looked new. This is a perfect place for the person needing a place to stay before heading to the airport.

Excellent Portland gem

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: It was all good!
Cons: No suggestions
Location: It's in Parkrose, an older neighborhood that doesn't have much to offer. But that doesn't detract from the motel. It is close to the airport
This is a gem of a motel. One of the old Hwy 30 motor hotels of the 40s and 50s, it's been totally remodeled and upgraded. The room was clean and quiet. Hot water was hot and the shower was nice. Bed was very comfortable. Parking right outside the door. Room had a fridge and a microwave. And the wifi is secure! It's a close drive to about everywhere. I'd highly recommend the Alpine.

Great hotel for the price

Posted Oct 7, 2014
For the price you can't find a better hotel. Definitely not the most luxurious but I've paid twice as much for worse hotels. If your a light sleeper you may want to consider that there is train tracks very close by. Also, the shower has fantastic water pressure. Will definitely be going back.

Good value. close to airport

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Price. fridge/microwave. nice TV. wifi worked well. Close to airport.
Cons: Airport shuttle. Being close to airport, shuttle would help attract clientele. coffee in room. breakfast.
Location: Close to airport. Not many restaurants nearby.
Picked for price. Renovated. Small room but comfortable. Close to airport.
