“Great Value”

Great CLEAN place for an affordable price. Perfect place to stay if you're traveling for business or just looking for a reasonable bargain(free wi-fi). I was thoroughly impressed with the polite treatment given by the staff and would recommend this place to everyone.

“Wonderful for the price!”

Hotel was wonderful. The front office man was incredibly nice and helpful, and even gave us internet access for free! It was a pleasant surprise, as I read reviews before getting there and thought it cost for internet. I also read that it wasnt in the best neighborhood, and well, it wasnt bad. It felt a bit rundown, but still extremely safe! The rooms were very nice, and everything was in working order. I don't think that we could have stayed anywhere better for the price we got.

“affordable comfort for the Portland enthusiast”

Loved it. Will definately stay again! Nice quant room for a very giving price. My boyfriend and I hit all the Portland area attractions and then some so it was an easy drive everywhere. Location was in a residential area so it was pretty quiet and we felt safe. Very comfortable bed, I could have slept for days! Very friendly staff.

“The perfect place for explorers”

These owners really love their motel, and it shows. As retired folks watching our $$, can't afford most 5 star places, and feel The Nordic Motel has earned all 5 from us. We never expected such care, cleanliness, and integrity. We loved it here so much that we took our original 2 night booking and extended it to the full 5 days we were in Portland. Bonus: it is just a short walk to the bus stop- Bus #21 on to the MAX train at Parkrose- Red line, and you can be at the airport or in Portland in minutes. By catching the #65 (also at Parkrose) you can hop over to Vancouver, WA for the day. And if you rent a car; Mt St Helens, Mt Hood, and the Dalles are also easy trips. Having a clean, safe and friendly place to come back to helped make our trip fabulous.

“A Non-Smoking Room Means No Whiff Of Cigarette.”

My non-smoking room had no whiff of cigarette, which is very important for me as I am a non-smoker and do not tolerate cigarette smoke. Although some people may not like the location, compared to where I am from (Oakland, CA) the hotel is in a relative safe area.

For the price, the quality & cleanliness of the room was phenomenal.

I recommend the heck out of this place. The staff goes way above and beyond to make sure you have any and everything you need. The decor of the room is basic but it is also very comfortable. It is a quick cab ride (which they will arrange) to the airport and the room has menus for delivery food if you want to dine in. The price is such a deal considering the location, comfort and service. This is my first ever review but I just wanted to show my appreciation for a great stay!

“Delighted with pristine Nordic Motel”

We were delighted to find this little motel newly renovated and beautifully kept. The rooms absolutely clean, without smelling of chemicals, and the hosts very welcoming. Although this hotel is close to the highway for ease of access, it is also far enough away to be quite. The walls are a little thin, our only concern, as until alerted we were unknowingly keeping our early-to-sleep neighbors awake, laughing at a movie that we were playing a little loud.... but luckily I imagine it does not attract a partying clientele. We will stay there again!

“Great Value”

Booked this hotel because of the positive reviews on Expedia. What a wonderful find! The room was very clean and has been maintained very well. Located just off of I-84 close to Troutdale Outlet Mall and Portland Airport. Was worried about noise from nearby train, but didn't hear a thing, not even the room next door. I went to a concert @ McMenamins Edgefield and it was less than 10 minutes to get back and forth. This will be my place to stay when going to Portland.

We booked this motel last minute. The rates are great. It is a little off the beaten path but owners are very nice. Motel has been completely remodeled and is very clean.
