Comfy bed and clean roomPosted Jun 16, 2014
The staff was very nice. The hallways could use a good carpet cleaning but the room was nice. I had a corner room with a big fluffy comfy bed. Although if you're a light sleeper the train is pretty loud if you're on that side of the building. Great price for a good stay. Convenient to the max light rail which is a huge plus in Portland.

Very good price but wouldn't stay againPosted Jun 16, 2014
I was there for a show at Arlene Schnitzer concert hall- I had to taxi from the hotel by myself which I didn't know ahead of time. The staff was very friendly which was a major plus. There was no bar/restaurant open which was a negative and no air in the rooms. It was pre-set for certain temps. It is a very old hotel that needs to be updated and the location wasn't the best.
Centrally located, but ...Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: The proximity to the Oregon Convention Center was the best feature.
Cons: Finishes could use refinishing; general appearance; restaurant needs remodeling bad - in every way.
It's very close to the Oregon Convention Center, which was great since I was graduating there during the weekend of my stay. However the hotel really needs significant help.

If you need to stay in Portland on the cheapPosted Jun 13, 2014
Cons: Safety-- stairway doors were all propped open and you did not need your room card to get into the stairwell.
Location: Close to max and downtown and right across from convention center. Also close to interstate
The room was relatively clean, but air quality streaming into room was poor and was laced with smoke of all kinds. Carpet cleanliness left much to be desired especially in the hall ways. One of the elevators was broken the whole time we were there and there were only two so riding up and down was crowded and less convenient than taking the stairs

Tired old hotelPosted Jun 9, 2014
Aged room & poorly furnished, not particularly cleal or dirty, just worn.

ClosPosted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: The room was clean. Complimentary internet. The front desk folks were quite kind.
Cons: Lost and found.
I absentmindedly forgot an expensive yoga mat in the room. My bad. I remembered 5 hours later and called immediately. It was no where to be found. It disappeared. I can't imagine that that is a typical event for them. It would seem a little more obvious than a phone charger, but I could be wrong. I acknowledge that I forgot it, but I felt I caught it in enough time to have had it located and returned. The cleaning crew probably wouldn't have been off schedule yet. Oh well, lesson(s) learned. I am disappointed in myself for a lapse in attention and in the hotel staff with respect to integrity.

One broken elevator the entire stay. No stairs other than fire escape. Very steep entrance from road causing car to bottom out frequently.

HorriblePosted Jun 7, 2014
The hotel smelled of poop in the hallway. The elevator was slow n other one broken. It just looked run down. I was super excited to stay there until I got there. Couldn't believe I paid 130.00 for a dump could of went across road to motel 6
