Pros: Nice, comfy king-sized bed, single-cup coffee maker.
Cons: No dedicated dresser for clothes; just a drawer here and a drawer there.
Location: Powell's Bookstore; Voodoo Donuts; Saturday Market at the Waterfront Park.
My wife and I spent the weekend at the Portland Marriott with our main goals for the trip being multiple trips to Powell's Bookstore and strolling down the Waterfront Park by the Williamette River. Both were within easy walking distance. The hotel was excellent, comfortable, and the staff was very considerate and friendly. The front desk associate politely asked us our agenda, and after we told her our relaxing plans, she made sure to indicate the other locations of Powell's bookstore locations around Portland. Also, every time we entered or left the hotel, the bellhops opened the door for us; and the waitstaff at the hotel were unobtrusive but mindful. A very pleasant experience.

Location: Outdoor free concert in Director Park.
Wonderful bul lacking free wifi. Expected it from a first class hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

Cons: FREE WIFI! Also the lobby wifi was for guests only. :/
Location: Finnegan's toy was a fun place to visit. O'bryant square(spell?) and the food carts are close by too!
Not the best hotel I've ever stayed, but the location was great. I found the hallway freezing, but it was all right as I was there just a few minutes. After I checked out I need to use the washroom, but they have no public washroom in the lobby, and the one on the second floor needed a room key. The staff made me a new room key so that I can access the washroom, so in the end it was fine.

Reserved a 2 bed room, for 4 people and only got a king bed room. Very disappointing and no one was nice enough to listen or accommodate us.

Location: lots of restaurants and bars, walking distance to a lot of stuff or trolley available too
The hotel was centrally located in the downtown area, walking distance to a lot of bars and restaurants. Staff was friendly and place was very clean, only negative was that no wireless service for most carries. Party of 6 had cellular service with all the major carriers but no signal. Wi-Fi service was available but for an additional fee, would recommend that hotel provide Wi-Fi for free since hotel doesn't get good cellular service while in the building.

Pros: Location x3, nice room. Guest relation person (I think Marius) was great.

Location: Everything in downtown is near by. Great location
Pillows are small and lumpy. Comforter is too heavy. Overcharging for everything: wifi (come on - motel6 has free wifi), parking, drinks, etc. Stuff would not take extra step: asked for plastic bag at the reception- they simply said they don't have one (how about calling housekeeping?)

Dear. Mrs. Dionela, I wanted to take the time to respond to you personally concerning your most recent stay with us. I read that you definitely had mixed feelings about your last stay at our hotel. For now, Marriott has decided to charge Wi-Fi separately as a way to give the guest the option rather than charge higher room rates as a way to absorb the cost. Our valet parking is comparable to the other hotels in the downtown area. I do apologize for not having plastic bags on hand at the front desk and we defiantly should have taken the extra step. Pros: front desk was very helpfull
Great hotel, will stay there again in the future. Front desk was really helpful, I think her name was Malia, she had a lot of suggestions for places around the hotel to see for my birthday.
