Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing, maybe add an indoor pool.
Location: Wonderful restaurants and shoppes, waterfront and history, loved it!

Wonderful stay

Posted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: Everything. Great service, quiet, clean, and safe.
Cons: Some creaks in the floors, gap in the door frame, and a little more comfy bed. But on the whole five star stay.
Location: Downtown Portland was fun, shop filled. I was to the water, shops, and restaurants.
Great care for guests, great amenities, and beautiful hotel.

Nice room with really loud air conditioner.

The room and service were great, but a sleepless night in a $300.00 room because of the air conditioner was a little hard to take.

Lovely hotel...even in a nor'easter

Posted Oct 26, 2014
Pros: Decor, comfort and location.
Cons: Wifi connection was hard to hold in the room. Not a huge deal but aggravating. Probably because of the structure that made sleeping so pleasant!
Location: Portland Art Museum. Eat at J's on the Wharf for a Cheers like atmosphere and the best seafood we had on our trip. Lot's more but rain prevented us
Nicely appointed, comfortable bed and chairs to sit when we didn't want to brave the weather. Location is excellent so we still could easily walk to the Art Museum, shops and lovely dinners in town and on the wharf. Fireplace next to our breakfast table was lovely - the food was delicious and delivered by a great waiter. Because it was an armory it is very quiet, no noise from neighbors or above. I was there 12 years ago and stayed a week for business - it hasn't changed at all. I would go back again if I found myself in Portland.

Wonderful!

Posted Oct 24, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Prices to room service; it could add up quick, but the food was awesome! And hey we were in Portland, so we knew it could be a little pricey :)
Location: Tours, shopping, and food!
Great location and place! Would recommend to anyone! Complementary use of some spa facilities and transportation to and from hotel. Room service was awesome! Rooms would warm up fast and beds were comfortable as ever! Loved every moment while my mum and I were in Portland :)

Enjoyed our stay

Posted Oct 9, 2014
Pros: The room was very clean and comfortable.
Cons: People should be able to self-park for free or a reduced rate as it's an open lot, not a garage.
Location: Great location and a beautiful building.
The hotel is very nice and the staff was very accommodating. The location was great for exploring Portland and the room was very comfortable. The only issue I had was that after many days of early wake ups in other cities, we'd hoped to sleep in a little and were rudely awakened very early by the trash dumpsters being emptied. I would still return, but that did put a damper on our experience.

Cons: Food!!! Really not good, even poor.
Location: Museums--terrific.
Poor food in main restaurant. Nice wait staff, needs chef.
