Higher Price than was Quoted By Expedia,Posted Oct 30, 2013
Pros: Housekeepers were polite and helpful!!
Cons: Inter Net Service was Danger Flaged on my Computer so refused to use. Computer "Flag" stated= Internet Comunications may be Seen By Others!!
Location: Bad Location unless you know City.
Impossible to find unless you know where it is. Price was much higher than Quoted by Expedia.com and staff refused to take conformation numbers. Asked for Quiet Rm. and ended sleeping right next to Truck Stop & Refueling Station. Picked Portlander because it seemed close to lg. freeway but very hard to find even with help from store and gas station workers with Smart Phone G.P.S. which said I was 8 min. away from the P. Inn.

Bad beds and lots of activity.Posted Aug 27, 2013
Cons: Get softer beds.
Location: Downtown Portland is 10 minutes away. There is plenty to do.
There was much to do at the Portlander. That is something not too many hotels can boast. A movie theater, deli, restaurant, bar with good live entertainment. Lots to do. The downside the beds are super hard and the customer service is only so so.

trucks in parking lot noisy all night longPosted Jun 15, 2013
Pros: STAFF & nice room except for trucks outside starting motors or generators. Nice to have it near good restaurant.
Cons: noise from trucks went on all night long
Location: restaurant was great!!!!!
would highly recommend except for the fact trucks right outside our window kept starting up motors or generators, unable to sleep because of noise. Staff that checked us in was great. EXPEDIA SAID THEY WOULD GET ME A GROUND FLOOR - DIDN'T; HOWEVER, STAFF AT MOTEL WAS ABLE TO CORRECT SITUATION.

Pretty good experience.Posted May 29, 2013
Staff were awesome, hotel was very clean! Excellent hotel for the price, and close to other food places. Would recommend requesting a room away from the band, we didnt have trouble but heard some people complaining. We were in the back by the truck stop, the noise was a little but not so we couldn't sleep through it.

Pleasant surprise with outstanding value !!!Posted Feb 26, 2013
Pros: The home made food.
Cons: Bathroom fan was very loud, and we couldn't turn the light on without the fan going.
Location: On the Columbia river at the Oregon & Washington boarders.
This hotel is a legend in Oregon. It has been there for decades and the food was absolutely over the top. We spent 2 nights there and it was very comfortable. But by far it was the staff and employees in the establishment which was so exceptional. We plan on going there again as the price was great and the food was absolutely out of this world. We highly recommend it.

Travelers rest stopPosted Jul 23, 2012
Pros: Clean and well kept
Cons: Bed was not the best
Location: Off the main line but easy to reach
To be fair I can only write about the annex building in back next to the Country Bar with live music. Expect some noise at night on the weekend. The bedding is old and not very comfortable, but very clean. The upkeep of the room is very good. I will try the main building on my next stay if possible to get a complete review of the property. It is a truck stop inn to be sure. I did not try restaurant.

Funky, not recommended.Posted Jul 22, 2012
Cons: Pillows, location.
Location: Truck stop, near freeway and airport.
Room was ok but the pillows were awful. It's a truck stop so know that. funky place...hallway reeked of smoke but room wasn't too bad.

Do your research.Posted Jul 17, 2012
Pros: It did have amovie theater, deli, laundry, game room, gas station, covienience store, restaurant, pretty convienient.
Cons: nasty carpets, smelly smokey buldings, rooms next to the bar, rooms next to the trucks.
Location: north east potland.
I have been a musician over 40 years and maybe this was karma. There are 3 sections of the hotel. One is directly next to a semi truck parking lot. One is in the main building. One is directly behind a bar and was a smoking building previously ( wich smelled still). We got a room that we were not aware was in the latter building. The bar had live music friday and saturday. Pretty safe to say we didn't get to sleep until after the band was done. We complained and asked to be moved which didn't happen because the were booked solid. They did however move us for saturday night. This is a place that i would go to party and not to sleep unless you knew this information and booked the correct building.

Nice hotel for the Portland area.Posted Jul 17, 2012
Pros: the deli downstairs.
Cons: The crazy freeways in the area
Location: real close to the expo center and the race track.
Was a good clean hotel with nice fixings in the area, had a great deli and nice car and truck show off area.
