Central location for fun

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: The staff and the breakfast/lunch diner attached(the Egg and I).
Cons: It'd be nicer if they put fridges and microwaves in the standard and Jacuzzi rooms. Only if you got the Business Select rooms did they provide those.
Location: Just off I-90. Shopping amenities close by(Target, Kohls, Wendy's, etc.). Funtown/Splashtown, Ferry Beach, lighthouse tours, forts, Cape Elizabeth...
My husband and I stayed here for the largest portion of our honeymoon. We loved its central location to attractions, restaurants, and interstate access. The staff were very friendly and competent. The pool was under construction but they provided a hot tub for our use.

Pool was closed.

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Everything I needed to attend a class under one roof. (Except the Pool)
The hotel is fine as far as clean and feeling secure while staying there. The pool was closed for cleaning the day I arrived, and was closed for a couple days, so I never got to use it. I wish I was made aware of the pool being closed before booking. I would have compare hotels in the area that would have an open pool. ALL staff were excellent.

Hotel has seen better days

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: It was reasonably clean and comfortable.
Cons: The decor, the amenities, and the wifi access.
Location: The hotel is in Portland, ME but a bit of a drive to Commercial St. and Long Wharf, which is where the tourist attractions are.
This hotel is apparently soon to become a Ramada Hotel. I hope the change in ownership is accompanied by some major renovating and improvements. Our room was furnished in dark colors. The furniture looked old and the upholstery was worn. The hotel listed an indoor pool and free wifi among the amenities. The indoor pool was closed for repairs a dn the wifi signal was weak at best and non-existent most of the time. The room was clean enough and the bed comfortable enough, but even at the Expedia bargain rate, I felt that we were overpaying.

We were visiting downtown Portland and this hotel was an easy drive into the city.

Pros: Friendly staff, more affordable than other hotels in area.
Cons: Quality of the bathroom
Booked this hotel for a last-minute trip, and it was more affordable than others in the area. Staff was friendly. Room conditions were very basic, with two double beds. The bathroom was not in the best condition -- supplies were limited, and the tub was dented. Also the staff began to clean our room before we had checked out (we ran a road race early in the morning and were planning to come back to shower prior to check out).

Hotel Ok, not much

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Convenient, close to main attractions, secure
Cons: Cleaning
When we arrived, i have asked a room away from elevators and the one they gave us was just next to it. Also, there was a brown stain on the toilet, so we asked to change room wich they did. The room they gave us then was clean and bigger. There was a lot of noise coming from the highway and, a our neighbords were noisy too.

It serves a purpose

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: "The Egg and I" restaurant serves some awesome dark roast coffee and the food isn't too bad either.
Cons: This hotel is WAY too pricey for what it offers. It's basically a small step up from a motel. I've stayed at cheaper motels that offered better.
Location: Downtown is filled with drug dealers, pick-pockets and junkies. Only saving grace is a restaurant called "The Green Elephant" definitely check it out.
An okay place to stay if you are desperate for a room for the night. If you're vacationing in the area, this place is NOT worth the money for the room. The room serves a basic function of providing a clean place to sleep. Don't expect it to be quiet. You will have the honor of hearing people thumping up and down stairs and slamming doors. Also, non-smoking floors are apparently not entirely "non-smoking." And the hot tub...well, it's just plain dirty and I don't advise using it.
