“Long-term parking not included through Expedia!”
We had a bad surprise when we arrived that management no longer allowed extended parking when you travel. This is the only reason we booked the room and they told us to go park at a park n fly, which costs has much has the room, you might as well get a nicer hotel that includes parking. Side note you do get parking directly through the hotel...
“nice place to stay”
our room was very nice and very clean. We had one of the "pet" rooms so I was very impressed. The hallway had a wierd smell but I'm sure that was because that was the building they allowed pets. But the room smelled fine and was pleasant.
“great for the transit tourist”
Location "a little" off the beaten path but the hotel shuttle was able to take us to PDX or the Cascades both of which are stops for the MAX RED line to City Center/China town.
“Very nice!”
Our stay was nice and location was good!
“Great Hotel, good location”
This hotel is such a bargain, given airport location and price. The room is clean and has all the amenities, it's 5 minutes to the airport and the staff are pleasant and responsive to requests.
“Nice close to airport room on a budget.”
The walls are a little thin which was surprising considering the decor was really pretty high quality. The beds are comfortable and the climate control works great, the staff was friendly. All of this was fairly unexpected given the price.
“Should have read the reviews before booking this one”
I am not really a hotel snob. I can hang just about anywhere and find something nice to say about it. This hotel not so much. I booked it off the Red Lion name and that was my mistake. The staff was friendly enough, parking was convenient and free. No free breakfast which should definatley be included to perk this place up (though I am not sure I would have eaten anything that came from this place). The hallways smell horrible and were surprisingly HOT that is taking into consideration that it was about 45 degrees outside. Once we hit the hallways we were burning up. The rooms are old and not fancy at all. (I read a comment from the Red Lion on another site that said they just remodeled......hum, I definately could not see it at all). We immediately locked and bolted our door the moment we entered because we didn't feel safe. You can hear the airplanes overhead pretty early in the morning and hotel cleaning staff starts vacuuming around 8:30am which you can hear them doing from the first room to the last room b/c the doors and walls are thin. Seriously this place is disgusting. Portland is a beautiful city to visit, I personally would stay downtown if I were to visit again. This place was way too skanky, stay away!!!!!
“4 night stay”
This hotel was very comfortable for an extended stay. There were not a ton of amenities but if you do not plan on spending a ton of time in your room it is a great value! The beds were very nice and we slept great. The hotel was quiet and a short drive to many great locations and downtown. The hotel staff were very friendly.
“Fine Hotel”
This hotel is not the nicest around, but it's at a good price and it's close to the airport. The room was comfortable enough. The light coming through the window all night was a little annoying and there was now real way to black it since the curtains don't extend more than 2 feet from either edge of the window sill. Apart from that it was a great stay.
“Just fine”
It was all I needed for an overnight before a flight. Carpets a little worn. Worth the price.
