Good Value for Families.Posted Dec 1, 2013
Great place to stay for families. Rooms very clean, very comfortable. Beds comfy. Was short staffed during the breakfast hours and felt sorry for the one person trying to keep everything refilled. They were unable to keep up both mornings. Guests were actually helping them as it became obvious it was not possible for them to do it all. Desk staff was great upon check in and very helpful. Housekeeping staff also very accomodating and helpful.

A great place to stay!Posted Oct 28, 2013
Cons: Only one suggestion...improve the warming system for the hot foods at breakfast. Our food was only lukewarm.
Location: Very convenient to the Exposition Center, Portland International Raceway and downtown Vancouver, WA.
My fiancee and I were coming to the recent antique show at the Expo and bringing his mother with us. We decided on Weds. to come up Friday and spend the night, rather than do the long drive from Eugene at 5:00 am. I was able to book a 2-room suite at the Marriott at the last minute and get a great rate. The main room was spacious, with a gas fireplace and a full kitchen, and each bedroom had on suite bath and television. Mom was able to sleep with her TV on and we were able to sleep in peace and quiet. The beds were quite comfortable and the bedding nice, with plenty of pillows. The bath towels could have been a bit softer, but they were absorbent and the shower head was mounted high enough that I didn't have to bend backwards to shampoo my hair, something us tall folks appreciate. The breakfast in the morning was quite varied and had more than the usual "continental" breakfast...there were scrambled eggs, sausage patties, potatoes O'Brien and more. The quality of the food was pretty standard for hotel fare but the pastries were fresh, the coffee was good and the buffet was kept clean and stocked. The staff were friendly and responsive, the hotel was spotless, and there was one very nice feature I've not seen in another hotel...an outdoor fireplace with very comfortable chairs, ottomans and a large table for those of us who still smoke. While I seldom smoke, my fiancee does and I appreciated being able to sit outside with him in a warm and comfortable spot.

Residence InnPosted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
We arrived to Portland OR on east coast time zone difference so it was 11:30 pm our time. Hotel told me to use the phones in bag claim area to call shuttle. We waited for 45 mins and called back using cell phone to direct hotel number. Hotel said they never got a pick up frequent and then told me they aren't the Resodence Inn listed in the airport phone section... That's the other residence inn. Finally got picked up o what would now be 1240am east coast time. Really frustrating! Shuttle driver was awesome! Great story teller. TVs in suite are decades d and should be replaced sit flat screens. Lastly, price for 2 BR suite was $251 and $32 higher than the residence in right at the airport in cascade station.

Nice hotel outside of downtown PortlandPosted Jul 18, 2013
This hotel was nice with very friendly staff. The breakfast area was small and at busy times it was hard to find a table for a family. Also the wireless Internet in the rooms was basically non-existent. Beds were very soft.

Comfortable with easy access to highwayPosted Jul 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was in a good location for us to easily get to downtown Portland and Vancouver. We used the hot tub and pool and liked both. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The employee who checked us in was new to the area so he did not know where things were located and how to get there.

Very Family FriendlyPosted Jun 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a two-bedroom suite and were amazed at how much room we had for our family (two adults and three small children). Two bedrooms, each with an on-suite bathroom and a living space in between with a dining table and kitchen (full-size fridge, stove/oven and dishwasher). The customer service was amazing and they have a great outdoor pool and hot breakfast each morning. The beds were large and very comfortable. Our three children had plenty of room in the King size bed while we had a Queen. It was not within walking distance to much, but was only about 10-20 minutes to drive to main attractions. The comfort and service at the hotel made it worth the short drives. We will definitely stay here again and look for other Residence Inns on future travels.
