Peaceful Waterfront SettingPosted Jun 24, 2015
Pros: Spa facilities
Cons: Pet and parking fees
Location: Portlands new south waterfront area is happening!
Great bikes to use! Delicious restaurant next door. Lovely spa. Nice to be out of the chaos of downtown. Walk the waterfront. Negatives: $50 for a pet...but hey, you get to have your dog at least! Only $25 valet parking option unless you want to walk a mile up hill.

Very pleasant hotel, on the riverPosted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Sitting on the balcony in the afternoon, drinking champagne and watching the river go by. Who could ask for more?
Cons: We had only one washcloth when we checked in, and we had difficulty getting more. Small deal, and the staff compensated by reducing our bill. Minor.
Location: Location is on the river. The riverside trail goes right past, and the hotel has bikes to check out. It's a short drive or hotel shuttle downtown.
We enjoyed our stay at River's Edge Hotel & Spa very much. Very nice view of the river (filtered through cottonwood trees), quiet, nicely furnished, with a very pleasant staff. The hotel is clean and comfortable.

Nice HotelPosted Jun 22, 2015
Great location on waterfront. New rooms. Only downside was the lack of self parking which required valet services. Valet staff was very friendly and efficient.

Beautiful location, but parking is at a premium!Posted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: Great view of the river, spacious room. High quality bed. Wonderful staff.
Cons: There was a sharp chlorine smell when you first enter. Not sure where it came from.
Location: The restaurant next door was great. Wonderful staff as well. Near OHSU.
Lovely location and view, spacious and comfortable rooms. I was a bit surpised at the limited parking options and hidden expense of that. Maybe I missed the fine print.

Great location!Posted Jun 4, 2015
Pros: Great staff, view of the river, bicycles available for use by guests.
Location: Don't miss the Rose Garden, the Japanese Gardens and the Pittock Mansion. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Veritable Quandary!
It's hard to beat this location since it provides access to the river trail for walking and biking and is close to downtown Portland and the freeway for activities in the broader area.

Quick business trip to PortlandPosted May 21, 2015
Pros: Hotel restaurant. Free flavored water in lobby. Pretty views.
Cons: Obviously, the hotel will be even better once construction was complete. Valet was a little inconvenient, but the staff was helpful in that regard.
Location: Close to downtown. Access to a hike and bike trail steps from the hotel lobby.
The hotel was under construction during my stay, but the hotel did a wonderful job of making guests feel accommodated for the inconvenience. Nice, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Enjoyable hotel restaurant with lovely view. Access to walking trail. Great location near downtown.

Beautiful view of the river- incredible staff!Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: The staff and location
Location: The possibilities are endless- it is a short walk from a Portland Streetcar stop and from there you can go anywhere!
We chose River Edge because of the close proximity to OHSU facilities and city transportation. We were greeted by friendly staff outside who helped us unload, staff inside assisted us with an early check in, and were very kind helping us map out the stops we wanted to make downtown Portland. Every hotel staff member we were contact with were professional, kind, and helpful. In addition, the view from our room was spectacular- beautiful trees and the river made it seem even more serene. We will most definitely chose River Edge again!

Wonderful River's EdgePosted May 14, 2015
Pros: The Staff, the location, the gym and spa
Location: The river, the city, cycling, running.
I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions while visiting from overseas and can't get over how helpful and friendly all of the staff are at this hotel. From the moment you arrive until you check out, nothing is too much trouble for them. Any requests are accommodated. The location is great for a stroll along the river or catching the street care into the city. Thank you to all at the hotel for making my stays there wonderful.
