SentinelPosted May 21, 2015
Only one elevator to the room and it was slow. Also the room lights were very dim. The sofa was extremely uncomfortable. The room was a suite but there was a large pass through area at the mini bar so if someone wanted to watch tv then the person in the bedroom would hear everything. Also there was a lot of street noise. They provided ear plugs so obviously others have complained about that as well. The location was great though. The location was the best part hotel

Great StayPosted May 19, 2015
Location: Great location. Valet park your car and walk to everything!
What a nice place!! Very beautiful building. What we loved was how friendly and down to earth everyone was but still being professional all at the same time. A high end hotel but not pretentious in the least. An everyday Average Joe can walk in here and feel at home. Great place, enjoyed every minute.

Got a free room upgrade thanks to the hotel being overbooked. The new room was much nicer, but it was right next to the elevator and kinda noisy. Great downtown location, although that means no parking except valet which is almost $40 a night. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly with directions and advice about the area. Hotel is very close to the light rail and some shopping.

Great location!Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: The location.
Cons: The drinks in the honor bar should be refrigerated.
Location: Within walking distance of Powell's books. Jake's restaurant is right next to the lobby. Fantastic food day or night.
Went to visit our son who lives in SE. Walked everywhere! The Sentinel is near great restaurants, parks, museums. It's also right across the street from the block of food carts. So fun! A starbucks is right next door to the lobby. Very clean, comfortable boutique hotel. The windows open which provide a nice cross breeze and fresh air. Comfortable beds! Accommodating staff! We'll be back.

Perfection!Posted Apr 11, 2015
Every single detail of this hotel was wonderful. The location is ideal if you want to explore the most hip, artsy part of the city by foot... and there's easy access to a bevy of restaurants and food carts. We were completely happy with our choice and would choose only the Sentinel for our next visit to PDX.
