“Reliable, Efficent Lodging--Decent Breakfast”
Shilo Inns have proven to be a steady and reliable franchize for us to stay at. The motels have almost always been clean and efficiantly run. The free breakasts include make-it-yourself Belgian waffles and cold boiled eggs. I was pleased to find that a sugarless syrup was provided that was reasonably good tasting. This is important for anyone who is on a limited sugar diet. Rates are very affordable and for that affordable price you get a refrigerator and microwave in the room. These two items were absent from another chain which charged just as much. If you need a good place to stay and can't afford to have three or four stars, you wont do better than the Shilo Inns.
“A real pearl!”
A real thumbs up! The facility was so well maintained and clean. The rating for being "Bedbug free" was essential for us. And indeed all aspects were well cared for. Thanks you Shilo Inn!
“Remodeled room.”
Very large, pleasant, remodeled room. Quiet. Nice indoor pool. Handy location.
“great stay”
Great stay...only problem I had was a burnt out light bulb in the bedside lamp...desk clerk didn't seem to happy to have to bring me a replacement at 11pm...oh well
“very comfortable”
The bed in the room was the fantastic. It was the most comfortable bed and pillow I have ever had in a hotel. I needed a good nights sleep and got it. The hotel without a GPS was hard to find but more my fault than theirs. There was a great local casual BBQ place for dinner that we enjoyed. I would highly recommend the motel at the Expedia rate.
“Good deal!”
Good hotel if you're not wanting to stay right in the city (20ish minutes from Portland) and convenient since it's right off the freeway. Room was remodled and nice and clean. The pool was small but nice. Breakfast area was small but had many light options, including belgian waffles. Will stay again if in the area.
“Older Motel, but nicely remodeled rooms”
Overall the hotel accomadated what we needed. The resteraunt out back had good food and within walking distance. The rooms were recently remodeled and nice. The kids enjoyed the pool. Close to shopping and softball fields. Overall we had a pleasant stay once they got our reservation figured out.
“Craving coffee”
The location of this Shilo is perfect for me when I go to visit my Dad in Salmon Creek. The rooms are clean and the staff is usually friendly and efficient.
“Very disappointed!”
We arrived at night and were directed to a back unit where our room was located. There were outside lights that were burned out along the pathway and at the entry to the unit. Also the walls did not have good sound insulation and we could hear people talking, clock radio playing, and children whining during the night. The room itself was clean and the bed comfortable however due to sounds from the rooms surrounding us we suffered sleepless nights during our stay. We will never return to this specific hotel nor will we recommend it. We had chosen it because we highly recommend the Shilo in Palm Springs, but this Shilo in Vancouver was very disappointing.
“Would go back.”
The front desk clerk was very courteous. She had someone ahead of me. She helped them quickly & gave me the ground floor room. The room was very nice. It was also quiet & relaxing. Just what my girls & i needed. We got to go swimming & went in the hot tub a little.
