Clean and friendly stay

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Super clean everywhere. Fairly sound protected rooms. Heard only slight sounds of landing aircraft and the kids jumping in the room above us (which the front desk handled quickly). Fair price and painless check in and check out.

Pros: The room was fresh and clean.
Cons: The elevators
Location: Near the airport
The elevators were slow. There was not enough staff to keep enough food during the breakfast. The room was very clean and the staff great.

Clean, comfortable, & cost effective
Posted Jan 27, 2013
Location: Very close to PDX & a shuttle runs back & forth at convenient times. You just need to sign up the previous day.
A clean, comfortable room, good breakfast buffet (waffle maker, hot oatmeal, eggs, bacon or sausage, cold cereals, yogurt, apples, oranges, bananas, juice, coffee, tea, milk), & helpful staff. One computer in the lobby for guest use, however, all rooms have free WiFi. Only drawback is that there are not enough parking spaces for the number of guests, as there are several hotels in close proximity. The overflow (approximately 2 dozen per day) used the lot adjacent to the hotel - it is an educational site & closed on the weekends.

Nice and Economic BUT....

Pros: My favorite thing about this hotel was that the breakfast and that it was comfy and quiet.
Cons: My least favorite thing about this hotel was the dirty hot tub and pool. The area needs to be closed for a day to get a REAL SERIOUS SCRUBBING!
Location: Good location right off the highway exit and surrounded by several fastfood places for quick meals. It was also close enough to a shopping center.
I chose this hotel because of all the great feedback on the continental breakfast spread provided by them. It was impressive. The ladies on duty this weekend kept everything clean and stocked, they were very attentive to all the guests. The breakfast served was a great way to start the day. It saved my family money on going out every morning. The only thing I'd say was a negative was the pool area. It was dirty. Both the pool and the hot tub had merky water and obvious signs that they had not been scrubbed in a long, long time. The pool is also super tiny. Anymore than five kids in the pool makes it seem crowded. Specially if they are tossing a ball around, playing tag or jumping in. The pictures online are a bit misleading, it looks a lot bigger.

Great hotel for a short staycation!

Pros: Great pool! Nice spacious room!
Cons: No restaurant on the premises.
Really nice rooms! Great little pool was perfect for the kids. The hottub was broken, but the pool was so warm that it was fine.

great hotel for traveling

I didn't want a hotel downtown to avoid the traffic/parking issues, so I opted for this one and was glad I did. The hotel is very modern, and as soon as I walked in my room I was impressed by the layout/design. I didn't spend much time in downtown Portland, as I was traveling more for scenic purposes, so I went to Cannon Beach, Mt. St. Helen's and Columbia River Gorge (which I all recommend), but if downtown is where you're headed, it's not difficult at all from this hotel. Best of all, if you're catching a flight out of Portland, this hotel is conveniently located nearby it.

Defensive staff.
Posted Jan 8, 2013
Pros: The breakfast was nice. The area was clean.
Cons: The staff.
Location: Very close to the airport, making it ideal for us for a 1 night stay going in and out of Portland.
The staff was defensive. We asked for a ride to the airport on the shuttle and were told no. They said since we had a rental car we would have to use that. We were meeting a work associate for dinner and drinks at the airport and wanted to use the shuttle rather than drive after a glass of wine in an unfamiliar city. The associate was also coming back to the hotel in her own room. After some discussion, the staff finally agreed to let us ride the shuttle for the 1.9 miles over to the airport. It really should never have been an issue. We had called and specifically asked if we could do that and were assured it was no problem. We were also put in the wrong room. I had asked for a king size bed and we were given 2 queens. I didn't say anything but about an hour after arriving, the front desk person knocked on the door and asked us our name. She said she'd put us in the wrong room. After unpacking, it wasn't worth discussing a change. Not that big of a deal but.....you asked.

A nice stay with an unexpected ammentity
Posted Jan 5, 2013
Pros: Large and clean room for my family of 5.
Cons: THE POOL!
Location: Near the airport, out of downtown
My family was here just for one night to break up an 9 hr drive. We really loved the room and the location. The pool in the other hand, was why we chose this hotel... The picture made it look like a football field, and it was the size of a nice bath tub. My kids were very disappointed and all the sudden the first day of our vacation mom screwed up. The hotel and staff were very accomadating, but don't be fooled by the pictures of the pool online!

Pretty and spacious

This was one of the few places I was able to find that had two beds and a pullout couch--I had looked long and hard for a room to accommodate a couple and two friends. The floorplan was pleasantly unusual while still being functional, and I liked the interior design and decorating concepts.

Comfortable/Cozy/Modern-style room
Posted Jan 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Loved the room. Felt very comfortable and cozy. Noticed that the toilet handle was broken and was wondering why it was left that way. The A/C didn't want to stay on, so had to keep the window open the whole night, which ended up waking us up early because of the noise from the overhead airplanes. Otherwise, everything was great!
