Scary neighborhood but once inside-felt safe

Posted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: continental breakfast
Location: Neighborhood seemed to be a bit unsafe to venture outdoors by yourself
Inside locked doors felt safe enough. Hallway had distinctive smell of old smoke from cigarettes

I went to the first time since I was going to the public domain. A place to live in the world is a good thing.

Very scary area!!

Posted Dec 17, 2014
Every night I was woken up by people trying to open my door and screaming fights in the hallway. the area is very scary. In fact one night the citizens of the neighborhood marched the streets with signs chanting "who's streets our streets" . They were trying to rid the place of all the transients I guess. I have video on my phone of the protest. I would absolutely pay any price to never stay there again.

Not a good experience

Posted Dec 10, 2014
They desperately need to invest in new linens. We had to call for new sheets, since ours were stained and had holes. Pillows were very thin and square. No conditioner was provided with the shampoo, and the paper cups leaked. The hair dryer didn't work and the tv kept blipping out. The only good thing was the mattress. You get what you pay for...or not.

Pros: Clean room. Bathroom excellently maintained. Bed comfortable. Channel Guide for Tv stations, necessity if not from location. Friendly courteous staff
Cons: Repair or replace broken furniture. De-bug. Fix Air control. Perhaps offer some hint of concession for disappointing experience.
Location: Conveniently located near bus line, max lines, Shopping, Gas, Excellent restaurants near by, Steam room available at no extra charge. etc. etc.
Clean room. Bathroom excellently maintained. Bed comfortable. And actually had a guide to the channels on the TV, which comes in handy when you do not know the local area. Friendly staff. However, the dresser' drawers were broken and missing pieces of wood. I found 3 bugs crawling in the room, one of which was a roach. Had to unplug the light in order to use the microwave. The room heater, which normally in most hotel rooms would just shut off when it reaches the temperature that you select, would over-heat the room, then automatically switch to Air Conditioning. I woke up repeatedly from the room being so hot I could not breath and then freezing because the AC was running even though it was set on High Heat. I mentioned this to the staff when I was checking out. They expressed sincere concern and said that they would get it taken care of immediately. But offered no concession for poor experience.

simple, inexpensive, plenty good enough

Posted Nov 19, 2014
Pros: Inexpensive, moderate amenities, good breakfast.
Cons: A little outdated. Hard bed, older TV, friendlier night staff.
Location: Easy access to most everything. I found all I was looking for nearby.
Nice spot for a simple overnight experience. Good continental breakfast. Adequate amenities. Close to services. I will use them several more times.
