Horrible experience

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: Customer Service
Expedia quoted one amount and when we checked in they charged us substantially more. We were put in a bottom floor/corner room that smelled like smoke. We are non-smokers. I told the lady at check in that Expedia quoted a lower price and she didn't care.

Spartan hotel

Posted Jun 30, 2015
A very minimalistic approach to a hotel stay. The continental breakfast wasn't really worth having and the rooms were extremely small. It was simply an okay experience at best. Only took the room because I couldn't find anything else available in Portland.

Great deal!

This hotel is very close to the airport. The room was clean and looked to be recently remodeled. I had a late night check in and it was very fast.

Price was right

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: Close to airport at a reasonable price.
Cons: Elevator.
Price was good but all rooms require stairs to get to them.

Its a spilt level w/no elevator.

Posted Jun 10, 2015
It is a split level so if you can't use stairs, they are hard to navigate, or like me had recent kee surgery then pick another place. Place was clean and.plane did not keep a person awake. It is close to the airport.

bad stay in portland

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: how comfy the beds were
Cons: Night staff, Maids never came around, clean the drains,
Location: nothing.
The bedrooms were modernized when it comes to the actual bed sheets and wall paintings. The beds were extremely comfy as well the only funny part is it says queen size beds but they were Doubles. which is horrible advertising. the shower was OK. As in the water head was pretty nice and the water didnt go cold BUT the drain was clogged before we used it. Not horribly bad but enough to the point that we didn't shower like at home lol. When it comes to the customer service that was provided, that was the most horrible part. The first lady we dealt with was nice but the night time guy was extremely rude. The moment we stepped foot inside the hotel doors the guy basically told us to stop talking. After we were in our room for about 5 minutes the same guy knocks on the door and says that it is a non smoking room and we cant smoke in the room. I told him that we werent smoking we were actually about to step outside (Showed shoe ha). Then he continues on accusing us of smoking and threatened me with the $200 smoking fee. Once outside he then walked around the building looking for us. Making it the worst stay i have ever had on vacation so far by far. The manager the next day wanted to add it to his file. I take it he does this often with a file and all.

Overnight stay to catch early flight.

Posted Jun 3, 2015
Pros: Quick check-in and checkout, clean room, comfortable bed, helpful staff.
Cons: Installing an elevator would help a lot.
Location: The location is within easy reach of the airport.
We arrived late in the evening, and got up early to get to the airport. There were no problems with the reservation, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the alarm clock worked fine. The only problems we had were carrying our bags up the stairs (no elevator), and we had to leave before breakfast started, so we had to miss it. Since we just needed somewhere to sleep close to the airport for our early morning flight, the Super 8 was just fine.
