Lovely weekend!

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: ambiance, service, food
Cons: no table or real closet in the room
All the decor and the atmosphere is understated and just right. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was varied with everything from cereals, yogurts, quiche, fresh fruit, all types of breads and croissant, juices, coffees, teas, and more. And the coffees and teas are available all day as are some other treats and some liquor at night. We sat outside by the fire one evening, chatting for hours, and the inside fireplace and sitting room area are delightful and super comfortable. The location by the ocean is great, and we are quite likely to plan this sort of weekend here again in the future.

First Time Kennebunk

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Cons: Would've been nice to have wi-fi throughout inn and not just in the common areas.
This inn was very easy to locate and drive to. Very friendly staff. Very good continental breakfast. Afternoon tea and cordials hit the spot.

Nice location.

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: Location Decor Comfort and Cleanliness
Cons: Signs to parking lot around back of hotel.
A lovely hotel in an amazing location. We arrived after a horrendous journey in pouring rain but The Beach House was our port in a storm! Although our room had a 'residential view' it was clean and comfortable. Afternoon tea was being served which was so welcome after a stressful journey. When the rain stopped we were able to stroll along the beach and return to cheese and biscuits and a glass of port. Advice from the staff on where to eat that night resulted in a lovely meal of Maine lobster. We could ask for nothing more.

Great place for beachfront relaxation

Posted Aug 10, 2012
Pros: great value, good breakfast, very peaceful
Cons: older plumbing, smallish room
Location: 5 minute walk to Gooch's Beach
If you're looking to stay close to Kennebunkport, but want to be away from the madding crowds, this is the place. My wife and I spend an evening there during peak season this summer, but at night and in the morning, the place was a model of traquility on the coast. They undersell the breakfast they serve as "continental", but you actually get a lot more. Love the option to eat breakfast overlooking the ocean as well - very relaxingThe room was comfortable - not very big, but what I'd expect for an inn so close to the beach. We really left the place feeling like we got a lot for our money.

Fresh Croissant

Posted Jul 18, 2012
Pros: Breakfast and Bed
Cons: Not particularly friendly staff
Location: Ideal at the beach
It's a fine facility with an excellent location. It combines hotel level amenities with old home feel. Great location and convenient to access. Breakfast was good, especially the fresh croissant.

Bel endroit en bord de mer

Posted Jun 28, 2011
