Wonderful, boutique hotel in downtown Portland.

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: The staff goes out of there way to be helpful, my daughter stayed with me. Every night the staff stored her bike and helped her on her way in the AM.
Location: Down town in a very nice area
Terrific and at a value. The hotel restaurant is outstanding especially yummy breakfast!

Pros: The furnishings were nice.
Cons: Bigger rooms; or a much lower price for the smaller rooms.
Location: Great location; within walking distance of great restaurants.
The hotel was okay, but a bit disappointing for the cost. The room was nicely furnished, but very small and stuffy. We turned on the air conditioner but it was too loud to sleep with it on.

Charming, and feels like you've stepped back into a different time. Great location. Great service. Loved the live jazz in the lounge in the evenings, and INCREDIBLE afternoon tea service.

Not worth the high price

The staff are great. The location is excellent, but the room size and furniture is way below the expectations for such high prices.

Great hotel in Downtown Portland

Posted Jun 4, 2014
Pros: The service and the cleanliness of the room.
Location: It's close to shopping, restaurants and food trucks.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Heathman Hotel. The staff was outstanding and the rooms clean. It was within walking distance to shopping and plenty of restaurants and food trucks. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent as well. The bathroom was a bit small though.

Mediocre hotel in iffy part of town

Posted Jun 2, 2014
With so many great choices in Portland for fun and interesting places the Heathman is simply a tired old staid hotel. Almost all historic details are gone. It is now simply a Hotel chain type hotel. Like a Marriott or Hilton. The service is excellent, the facilities just boring and with no character. If predictable and overpriced is what you want, this is the place. And parking is twice the price of any other hotel!!!
