Slept like a baby, great location, helpful staff.

Pros: The staff, the bed.
Cons: The bathrooms and air conditioning could be upgraded.
Location: Very central, walking distance to all the cool stuff.
Enjoyed most everything, the staff was great, bed was comfy, location is excellent. The shower leaves something to be desired and the old school air conditioning is noisy but otherwise great value for the money.

Pros: Helpful staff, good location, easy to get to and from other areas in Portland.
Location: excellent location to downtown shopping, restaurants and close by to businesses, OHSU, MAC Club, etc.
I had stayed at this hotel before and have found it a pleasant place to stay. It is a good location, close by to good dining. The parking valets were very helpful since I needed help due to an operation.

downtown location at a good price

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: comfortable bed, spacious clean room w/ a fridge, very convenient location downtown, close to tram, restaurants, friendly staff, great value.
Cons: n/a
Location: Elephants in the Park deli across the street, numerous restaurants nearby. Close to tram.
This hotel is within walking distance to everything downtown, and only a short tram ride away from everywhere else. We also took the Trimet from the airport, which was easy, cheap and dropped us off 2 blocks from the hotel. The outdoor sitting/eating space with a fountain across the street was great, as was the Elephants in the Park deli one block away (breakfasts, pastries, coffee, lunch items, etc). We booked through Expedia and got a great rate for such a nice room. The bed was extremely comfortable, the view was nice, and everything was clean and felt upscale. We did not eat in the dining room or bar so can't comment on that. We probably wouldn't stay anywhere else in the downtown area if/when we return to Portland.

Great Hotel....Construction On Going Nearby

Posted Oct 3, 2014
This great hotel faces Director's Park and beyond that there is a new building under construction. They start fairly early in the morning which can be fairly loud. Overall, it would not keep me from staying there, but if you are seeking quiet time, this may not be the right choice right now.

Good option for downtown Portland

Posted Oct 3, 2014
Pros: Excellent location and very nice rooms
Location: You are close to just about all downtown attractions, and what you can walk to, you're one block from Portland's excellent public transit system.
A very nice hotel in an excellent location. The hotel restaurant and bar is an added bonus -- both very good. No great views or hotel pool, but in the downtown area, that is to be expected. I have gone before, and will go again.

Posted Oct 3, 2014
Pros: Very clean, modern hotel with plenty of space
Cons: Choice of breakfast - had breakfast first morning but choice was limited and lacked basic breakfast eg pancakes, bacon or continental breakfast :(
Location: Great location - cinema across road, good restaurants nearby, short walk to Historical Museum have breakfast @ Good Earth Cafe on 3rd Avenue - fab!!
Spent 2 nights in Portland which was just about enough to see the sights

Excellent Boutique Hotel

Posted Oct 1, 2014
Pros: Because of its location, there is no need for a car since a lot of shopping can be done nearby with a lot of eating places within walking distances.
Cons: None
The hotel is located centrally in the heart of downtown with a lot of amenities such as shops and restaurants within walking distance.
