“quick visit”
For a quick business visit, that's all.
“Better than expected”
It was a good location to the airport and other important points. We were expecting far less and got more. We felt safe and the area was quiet.
“A decent hotel that is a very great value.”
Its not the nicest hotel, its not the nicest neghborhood and it isnt really near anything. That being said, it's a great value if you want a clean inexpensive place. The airport is 30 minutes away by easy public transportation (Walk across st, get on bus, get on train acroos st from bus stop) $2.05
“Shady, shady, shady”
The room was (relatively) clean (bleach kills everything, right?) but that's about all I have to say that's positive about the travel lodge PDX airport. The walls were very thin, very poor continental breakfast, stairwells and general building very poorly maintained, public areas outright STANK (thankfully our room did not) and the walls were very thin. Did I mention that the walls were thin? The couple next door was having a great time and we could hear the whole thing - even when they were speaking in normal voices. Because the walls were so thin, the "fitness room" didn't open until 10 due to complaints from tenants. Who works out at 10am on vacation? The neighborhood was super sketch, a number of friendly local strip clubs were kickin', and the front desk person had no teeth. Never, ever, ever again.
“Awesome”
the room was big, two beds were there as promised because in the past i havent been given what i paid for. a great location, on the way to our hotel we found two carnivals! the service was great and pizza delivery can get there fast too :) the most memorable part was as i was leaving i left my phone in my room and the housekeeper, Anita, ran it out to my car, she was a lifesaver! very satisfied with my entire stay, no bad stories and usually there is one with a hotel but this one was good.
“Pleasantly surprised”
After reading reviews posted on the Internet, I almost didn't stay here, but we were pleasantly surprised. It is a budget hotel, and that's what it delivers. We had a king bed room; it was clean, had a coffee maker, and all the regular amenities. Breakfast (cereal, juice, toast) was served as advertised from 6-9 AM. WIFI signal was a little weak, but adequate, and the staff were friendly. It's located near the airport, and the neighborhood is on the fringe of a sketchy area, but there's a great pub/restaurant (Park City Pub) a stone's throw away (Sandy Blvd and 81st.) If you're on a tight budget and don't care if you're close to downtown, I recommend this hotel.
“You Get What You Pay For”
For the rates, this is a decent deal for someone who just needs a place to stay.
“Great for the price”
Very good hotel for the price! Very pet friendly, which was even better! The room was clean and the beds were fairly comfortable. The staff was very nice. The front desk lady was very eccentric and I did see her yelling at one customer, but none of my business; she was fine with me just a little "out there". Everything else was great. The location is perfect, close to I-5, I-205 and I-84.
“Awful in Portland”
The hotel was not clean. Floor in the bathroom had debris on it. Carpeting was dirty. The entire place was very poorly maintained. I would NEVER consider staying there again, even if the rate was low.
“If you just need a place to drop your bags.”
Different sites reviewed this place differently, it ended up being somewhere in the middle. Clean from the outside, relatively quite neighborhood, and convenient to public transit. Nothing else was good about this place. My view sucked, the halls, walls, and doors all needed a fresh coat or 3, and the tv only had 6 channels. None of them ESPN. The staff was cold, almost rude. I came back a little after midnight and the clerk made me stand in the rain while she walked across the room to check the system and confirm I was a guest before opening the lobby door. Had I not paid in advance here on Expedia I would have checked out immediately. They did have fee wifi. There breakfast sucks and is totally shutdown at 8:59am on the dot. If I wasn't so in love with the person I went to see this place woulda ruined my spirit. Spend the extra $10 and stay at the HoJo.
