Great location when Edgefield is full

Posted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Clean the vents and filters of the air conditioners, put some light bulbs in the rooms so it isn't so dark and dreary, and clean the carpeting.
Location: The closest motel to Edgefield, which is a music, food and drink theme park!
The location is fine, everything else is fairly low rent. The air conditioner poured out such foul smelling air we didn't use it, but fortunately the window opened to a cool and quiet back area so we could keep it open at night. There is nothing for breakfast except carbohydrates (bread, waffle and sugar cereal) and coffee in Styrofoam cups. We stayed here because of its location near to Edgefield, which was fully booked, and it was therefore convenient after a late night at a concert there.

Sort of OK

Nothing awful, but just a somewhat stale reprise of Motel 6 circa 1982.

Rooms were bad

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Not much
Cons: Tear it down and start over.
Location: Found a nice park on a lake that was fun.
We had 3 rooms for 5 nights and if I hadn't pre-paid for the rooms we would of left! In my room the bedspread had a big stain on it. The carpet in all 3 rooms had wrinkles in it. One room was design with teddy bears, it was scary. The hotel had a hotel cat that was in the breakfast lounge in the morning up on the tables and chairs. Security - someone kept jamming the doors open to create a draft in the building during the day and really early in the mornings. My room was next to one of the doors, so I kept closing it.

Hotel is just right off the highway(old but cheap)

Posted Jul 1, 2014
I went to portland during mid June 2014, during that period, this hotel offered the cheapest price. If people have budget concern, this hotel can be one of their choices. However, this hotel is very old and not the cleanest. Hotel is just right off the highway, very closed to Argo gas station, Walmart, and Target (all within 5-7 mins drive). A very tasty local pizza place near by as well, just 5 mins drive. I would say it is pretty convenient. The hotel's staffs are very helpful and nice, particularly, a lady, whom I forgot her name. She never get annoyed or show any disrespect with our requests or questions. The first room we got offered had stain on the bed sheet. So we asked for a room change. The lady gladly helped. We switched to a bigger room, also with a kitchen area as well, but the stove and drawer seems too old to function so we did not bother. Later on, we found some stains on the towels as well, asked for cleaner towels, lady helped us without hesitation.

Great hotel near Wal-Mart (best benefit ever!)

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: The easy location access.
Cons: The outside of the building really takes away from the nice inside.
Location: It was near many different restaurants, gas stations and a Wal-Mart. Great location! :)

served our needs, a hot tub would have topped it.

Posted Jun 5, 2014
Pros: Located where I needed to be and price was great.
Cons: A hot tub would hae been great.
Location: Visit a variety of restaurants and walmart. 15 easy miles to get to the Airport.
We had a very comfortable and near stores to visit. They were remodeling the restaurant so we did not get to check it out but the breakfast was great as was all the service. Yvonne

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Cleanliness and hygiene
The room was in a terrible condition and it was smelly. The carpets and curtains very extremely dirty and torn. The bed was dirty with a stained and smelly blanket.
