"Fabulous Room & Service"
I was in town for one night to catch The Phantom of The Opera and to celebrate a friend's birthday. The Heathman Hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of shopping, great restaurants and the Portland Art Museum. The service was outstanding, I arrived back from a full day of sight seeing and was too late to enjoy the wine tasting but the staff gave me a lovely glass of Pinot Grigio anyway. The onsite library is wonderful! We arrived early, 11: 00 AM and were able to checkin to our room at that time. That was such a plus!

"Impressed"
The staff was outstanding. Everyone we met or talked to smiled said hello and offered the kind of service you expect to receive at top notch hotels. Hotel styling was a refreshing modern change from the norm, but all the comforts you need. Rooms were a bit retro in their smallish size, but the quality treatment and fixtures made up for it. We would stay again.

Very standard hotel. Everything u'd expect to see in a four star hotel. Nothing special. Location is very good right next to shopping area. No parking. If you're parking more than 24 hours get the valet parking, $35. If not, use the parking garage across the street will be cheaper.

"LOVED this hotel!"
Ginormously spacious rooms with full kitchens. Lots of bathroom counter space. Super comfy bed and pillows - I slept like the dead. We had a room facing the street and loved it. Other reviews reported hearing some street noises, but we never did. The hotel staff were always very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. They even helped me by secretly decorating our room before our arrival for my husband's 30th birthday (Thanks, Iliana!!). The streetcar access is fantastic. Lots to walk to. The hotel is in a super cute and EXTREMELY safe-feeling neighborhood. Good parking, too. We had a rental car and were always able to get a spot on the street or in the lot (both FREE!). We went up to the rooftop sitting area once, and it was really nice. It was empty because it was about to rain, but still very cool. Loved the free breakfast, too. Good waffles and other choices. I can't say enough about this hotel. I wish there was one in every city we plan to visit in the future. Highly recommend!
