"Perfect Honeymoon"
We realised as soon as we arrived that we were at a very exclusive place, within 24hrs had settled in to the exquisite surroundings. The food was superb, especially the daily lunch experience!Wonderful setting, we had the most relaxing holiday ever! We will return!

"Competitively priced hotel in a beautiful setting"
Great first impressions. Attractive lobby. Efficient friendly check in and room transfer. ***Connecting to and staying connected to Wi-Fi was a constant problem even in the lobby *** Also had problems at Tanit, Casablanca and the Airport so may be a general problem. We booked the lead in room type - hill view, actually had a partial sea view so were happy! Room was well presented but small and lacked storage. Requested more hangers which arrived quickly. No complimentary fruit or drinks or water to welcome us, which is usually offered in a 5* hotel. Bed was ok but had only one pillow each which were flat and hard, so asked for thicker softer pillows. The price of 50 Euros each for guests on B&B was reasonable for a delicious 4 course Al a Carte meal which was professionally served. However, the best tables on the terrace are reserved for guests on half board. B&B guests get what's left, inside if its busy. Breakfast is best early. No Egg Chef, only pre boiled eggs and scrambled eggs. The Rolex Swan Cup Party, took place near the pool on 13/9/14. Hotel guests were restricted to a buffet on the night at 70 Euros per head. The selection was disappointing. We were able to watch the event from the upper terrace. The beach, decks, pools & grounds are lovely. All staff charming and helpful, particularly Donatto & Franco the Concierge who recommended Tanit, Poltu Quatu, - excellent, and arranged a full day boat trip which we thoroughly enjoyed.

"beautiful location and hotel"
the staff could not have been more helpful and friendy. the only minus side was that there did not seem to be any light snacks offered at lunchtime and the breakfasts could have had a bit more imagination.

"Lovely Spot But Far From Other Services"
The lobby is large and serene, so we could recommend this as a spot for beach lovers who appreciate a gracious and expensive vacation--a place to which the rich who don't particularly enjoy good food might haul in their steamer trunks and vacation for the summer. Our room was spacious enough, though a tight closet made it useful only for one person. The bathroom, while lovely, had only a small shower stall, but the view and patio were great! Balconies are side-by side, and we were lucky to have pretty quiet neighbors for our stay, though a boisterous group checked in the morning of our departure. Breakfast was generous and well-cooked, and the view wonderful! We understood that restaurant options would be limited, so ate a solid lunch in La Maddalena en route and enjoyed a lovely spritz and snacks in the bar for dinner one night. We gave the hotel restaurant a try the next night and found it marginal and expensive, with no wine by the glass available. Day trip options are limited; we visited a very quiet Porto Cervo but were deterred from a day trip to Corsica by the distance on a twisting road.

"Pleased at the end."
We had the impression that the room given to us was the worse possible available at this hotel, no sea wiev, from the window/balcony you see a huge wall and if you look up you could see a bit of sky. The televison is a very old 14 inches that you could not shift at a bootsale, not even for free, and there are no decent channels available anyway. The car park is not secluded, actually is on the other side of a busy road. But the hotel location is great, the atmosphere very good, the reception is first class, and you enjoy a stunning breakfast area with great views. All in all we were pleased at the end. So we were given the worst possible room, but pefect for a good night sleep and if the weather is good this is all you need, and we were happy at the end considering the price we paid. We only wish that Expedia could be more accurate in future and not promise things that are not going to be there, and we wish that hotels, with lots of rooms available like this one was at the time, will treat Expedia customers with a room with a better view rather than a wall.

"Relaxing Mediterranean hotel with great views."
Very comfortable room and excellent facilities- pool and private beach etc. We thought the hotel restaurant very over priced for the standard of cooking- Michelin star prices, but not Michelin standard cooking. It is a kilometre or so out of town, so if walking into town, take a torch! The town attracts the jet set, so prices very expensive compared to other areas of Sardinia

"Nice hotel but isolated"
Hotel Bagaglino stands in a pretty bay and has lovely grounds with gardens and fountains . The rooms are spacious with kitchenette and lounge so you can self cater if you want to. Unless you like lying on the beach all week you will need to hire a car. Preferably hire in advance and collect at the airport as its a lot cheaper than hiring it at the hotel. We went in mid September and the roads are quite quiet. The season is quite short in Sardinia and facilities such as the Aqua park close on Sept 7th and you will find the restaurants fairly quiet.Having said that if you are willing to explore there is plenty to do. Try the wind /kite surfing village at Porto Pollo, or visit the historic port of Alghero and wander in the narrow streets, or climb Bear rock at Cap D'Orso ( with its fantastic hollowed out rock formations( there is a easy to climb man made path and only costs two euro'sand the views are amazing). to La Cinta Beach at San Teodoro is also worth a visit. The hotel needs to have more information in English preferably. about a variety of places to visit to suit all tastes. The food at the restaurant was good and staff there were polite, prompt and cheerful.During our visit in Mid to late September there was no activities or entertainment,

Porto Cervo, Costa Smeralda Hotel Guide

Ultra-glamorous Porto Cervo is the Costa Smeralda's most famous resort, a haven for the yachting set and HQ for the 'paparazzi'. Synthetic, but nonetheless picturesque in pink terracotta, the villas and buildings vie for attention with luxury mega yachts. The beautiful people meet on the Piazzetta and shopping is a dream, but seriously expensive. The (free) beaches are a highlight; access to a boat for exploring the little inlets is a must.
