Old traditional high class hotel. Very Good hotel for the money i spent.

Only shortcoming is not close to metro system. oublic transport etc have to rent car or use taxi's

“Well run top notch hotel in Porto's Foz district.”

The Ipanema Park Hotel is a well-run hotel in Porto's Foz district. The buffet breakfast is great. The rooms are clean and updated. The staff are very curteous and professional. They do speak English. There is not much within walking distance of the hotel, but the taxi ride into downtown Porto is less than $8 euros, and the drive only takes a few minutes. Ribeira district is particularly easy to get to. Freeway access is easy too. The mattress in the room seemed a little inferior, however. And my only hesitation on recommending this hotel it is that due to Porto's one-way streets, and the geography of the Foz district, if you miss a single turn on your approach to the hotel you'll find yourself hopelessly lost for an hour. It is very difficult to find the hotel if you're not familiar with the area.

“Good 4 stars”

This is a good 4 stars standard hotel - very confortable, with a fair breakfast and even a small gym. If you can get it for a good rate, it is indeed an interesting option. There is, though, a little "but": its 10 min by bus from Ribeira (central Porto).

The hotel facilities and the staff are both great. However not as new as it appears on the pictures.

A great hotel, with a great location. Good restaurant offering a great breakfast and buffet lunches. Garage access needs improvement as the access/exit is narrow and curvy.
