Pros: the ambience and feel of the themed hotel
Cons: no coffe in the rooms
Location: perfect for everything
Great hotel. Staff friendly, polite and helpful. Location perfect for transport, shopping restuarants etc. My only critisism, no coffee in our room. Tea only. I am sure had I have asked it would have been provided. Overall perfect

Perfect location, great staff, beautiful decor.

Pros: location, staff, comfort
Location: Centre of town, walking distance to everything.
Excellent hotel in a perfect location near all the action, sights and nightlife of downtown Porto. Everything is in walking distance and we never had to take public transport anywhere. The room was beautiful with a great view over the local streets. Some nightlife noise can be heard from the room but it wasn't bad and is to be expected for such a location. Free wifi and desktop computer with free printer was very useful. The breakfast was also excellent. Great hotel staff. Amazing value for money in this very nicely appointed hotel. Highly recommended.

Great for weekends away & well located!
Posted Jan 20, 2013
Pros: The entrance & foyer, really well done! The staff were really knowledgable & helpful. Rooms were spacious & clean.
Cons: Fresh towels daily weren't needed but there was no-where to hang them to dry.
Location: Good location, at the top part of town, near the metro (5 mins) but walking down to the Douro riverside took 10 mins (it's downhill!).
Great hotel, great location, clean & well kept, quirky but fun idea! One of the most interesting/fun hotels I've stayed in on a city break. Rooms good size, a bit dark but you get used to it & it's all to create the theatre theme. We upgraded to a tribute room for our girls weekend & there was plenty of room, we did miss a mirror in the main bedroom though as it was only in the bathroom. Breakfast provided a good selection & plenty to eat but you have to ask for tea or cappuccino & catching a member of staff is sometimes a challenge! Nice touch providing a welcome drink & a sample of local port to get you used to the local tipple. I would recommend this hotel with a 9/10.

Excellent stylish hotel in centre
Posted Jan 11, 2013
Pros: Attentive, friendly and helpful staff; bathroom - excellent power shower and deep bath; superb restaurant and breakfast.
Location: Excellent location to walk to central attractions, and close to public transport network.
Excellent hotel. Stylish design, friendly and helpful staff, great location, excellent restaurant and a great breakfast choice. A superb place to stay in Porto, and really convenient for walking to town centre, old town and Ribeira attractions and close to the public transport network for exploring the wider area. I would recommend this to others looking for a hotel in Porto.

Great location

Pros: Location
Cons: Dark rooms
Location: Good
Great hotel and great location! If your 2 friends sharing a room be aware some of the rooms only have a see through door on the toilet and shower which can be a bit awkward!! It's also very dark (which is In keeping with the style of the hotel) so bring a bright mirror!! Overall great hotel with great staff in a good location

A wonderful hotel!

We recently stayed at Hotel Teatro for two nights. The hotel is well situated within walking distance to many landmarks, shops, and restaurants. The valet parking was very helpful. I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff we encountered. They were so helpful and friendly, especially with my 2 year old daughter. The hotel is very beautiful with it's theater themed decor. The only reason I did not give a perfect score on the room comfort was because there is no door to separate the bathroom from sleeping area. It was not an issue for us, but feel it's important to point out in case you are traveling with friends or are bashful. :) Overall, the hotel was fantastic, I will recommend them and certainly stay there again.

I think it is the best hotel in Porto

I have stayed 5 days in this hotel (Audience room) and I was pretty satisfied with my choice. The room was big and the shower was perfect. The only thing is that you have to like the dark atmosphere. the breakfast was good as well. The garage parking was for 12 euro a day.

Spoilt in the dark!
Posted Jan 26, 2012
Pros: Fab. beds & pillows, crisp white cotton sheets. umbrellas, towelling slippers, good quality toiletries Sophisticated and intelligent lighting in room
Cons: Could not find hair dryer in room Noise in night A little too dark particularly in bedrooms - reading
Location: Excellent location for day, but not night if sleeping! In a bedroom at the front of the hotel.
The hotel is cleverly designed, as it designed with a theatre in mind it is quite dark in public areas and in bedrooms, so putting on make up for a woman was not that easy.whilst the room had most amenities known to man i failed to find a hair dryer! The hotel itself is extremely well appointed, I had a room at the front of the building - Porto is a city that does not seem to sleep, and as a consequence this may also have a bearing on whether you sleep. The breakfast is good, but as we leaving early we were disappointed that it was not completely ready at the time of opening. Thus our selection was limited- we could see more food arriving, unfortunately we had no time to eat! It is a hotel I would recommend , but ask for a room at the back or overlooking courtyard. I suspect these rooms would be more expensive!
