first class hotel first class service

Pros: facilities and staff
Cons: cleaning could have been better
Location: not much to do locally unless you are a Boavista fan, but bus and rail links make it easy to get to where the action is
This is a fab hotel, with amazing staff that made us feel special all the time. nothing was too much trouble

very nice but with a few flaws

Pros: friendly staff, good breakfast, commfortable room
Cons: more accurate advice, ice machine or easy acccess to ice in rooms, better coffeee at breakfast
on the whole we had a very nice experience, the room was large and clean and comfortable, and the staff friendly and eager to please. The only problem was that in their eagerness to help us enjoy their city they gave us a number of bits of bad advice that caused minor to major stress. The most serious being telling us that we could pay for a Duoro river cruise with a credit card, an then finding out way too late that that wasn't possible causing a good deal of difficulty. The only other complaint was no ice machine . Other than that we enjoyed our stay

Very clean modern hotel, helpful staff. Surprisingly the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced for hotel food.

Great Hotel

We've been to Porto for a city break and stayed at Sheraton. It was truly one of my best hotel experience. Their Spa is fantastic, the hammam is amazing. Can only recommend.

Central, efficient - great service

Pros: Quiet, efficient and central.
Cons: Internet connection for laptops.
Location: Business meetings either side of the stay so can't comment.
A great hotel for business travellers - faultless bar the internet connection for PC. My iphone connection was fine but all our laptops (3 of us) could not connect. Wouldn't stop me staying there again but hope IT sorted by the time I return. Very good value too.

Nice hotel but far from everything

Pros: The hotel is very modern and the service was very good
Cons: My room was very hot and I could not get it to cool down. I could open the window but the neighborhood dogs barking and the traffic was too loud.
Location: The hotel is far from everything you want to see. I had to take a nearby metro to get to downtown everyday.
The hotel is very nice. The spa was okay but cost $10 euro a day. I only used it one time as I did not think it was worth the cost and felt it should have been included in the hotel rate. The front desk personnel was very nice and helpful. Their English could have been better but I found this to be an issue all over Portugal. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant one night and the service was great and the risotto with veal was amazing.

Charges for 'extras'

The hotel was advertised as 5* but there were extra charges for the spa and tea making facilities. It was a also quite a way from Porto centre but close to the metro.

Cons: N/A
Location: Nothing much near by. Great if you do not mind a short subway ride. I would stay there again.
if you are willing to take the subway to go downtown, this is a good place to stay
