Conveniently located inexpensive hotel.Posted Jan 14, 2014
Pros: The location and the price.
Cons: The insulation of the rooms.
Location: Very near the center, and easy walk.
The hotel is clean and well furnished, and the breakfast is OK. The main problem is that the walls seem to be made of paper. One can hear neighbors' TV and their conversations. This hotel is not for the noise-sensitive.

Nice clean hotel, not too centralPosted Nov 6, 2013
Pros: Clean, quiet, v good value
Cons: Staff need to be a little more welcoming, although they were polite.
Location: All the attractions are in town - decent supermarket was only about 10 yards away.
As all Tryp hotels are, things were clean and rooms are nice. Staff were fairly indifferent but perhaps this is merely a cultural thing. It is a fair walk into town but we actually liked staying somewhere a little quieter and we also found we could eat out cheaply without getting ripped off on the tourist trail restaurants. We particularly liked the small restaurant Brasilfeira down the hill.

Good hotel, a bit far from the actionPosted Sep 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
While it is located in the center, it is about 2 Km away from where the action is. I did appreciate the free internet.

Great hotel in PortoPosted Apr 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a great new hotel in Porto. Breakfast could be improved and internet is a bit slow in the room. Apart from that, perfect place, well located to visit the historical city centre and the room is big and spotless. Great place, highly recomended.

Tryp - Cheap and WORTH IT!Posted Jan 11, 2012 on Hotels.com
For a super cheap option this was a wonderful hotel! We did have a problem with our first room not getting warm enough and no hot water, but they fixed it very quickly. I will say for the price, I didn't expect the cleanliness and service that we experienced! Recommended!!!

Terrible locationPosted Dec 19, 2011 on Hotels.com
While the location is deemed "Center" it turned out to be very far from the tourist part of the city and in an extremely dilapidated neighborhood that we were told was unsafe to walk around at night. The hotel was also under construction in the lobby which we did not realize until we arrived. The service and room itself were fine, but I would not recomment that a tourist stay in that part of town. We ended up taking taxis everywhere.
