Peaceful
Very quiet because it was the shoulder season. This meant a few amenities weren't available (restaurant closed so no breakfast or dinner options for example). Location is removed from town but beachfront was completely empty as a result. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place.

Best beach holiday
Lovely place to stay, great views and right on beach. Hotel have free shuttle to restaurants around the island, would definitely stay again, dream destination.

Apartment on the beach
Hotel on the beach as advertised. I would say 3 stars compared with others i have stayed in. Good pool with a deeper side which is good for exercise. The only one i have seen in Porto Santo so far. Some people keep putting towels on sun chairs to reserve a place ...against instructions of the hotel. Good value for money for a couple with 2 kids. Beach/pool towels too small for big guys. Bar outside pool with nice drinks and a nice lady Diana. Anyway..positive stay

Good hotel but with little around.
Flight diverted from Madeira due to high wind and made unscheduled overnight stop in Porto Santo. Nice little island but very little to see except beaches. Got last minute booking at the hotel. Good hotel with good facilities. But very little around except a beach. Not exactly suitable for this time of the year. I am sure it will be great for summer season.

great location directly on the beach. staff were terrific and very helpful. the hotel itself in lobby is clean and beautiful but the rooms could use some general maintenance which I'm sure they will do but our stay there was so quiet, private and we didn't care if the walls or trim needed some general upkeep privacy and beach location was the key to a terrific stay there. having a kitchen was great we cooked some meals in the room that were excellent. lots of pots and pans, bowls, cutlery etc. rented a scooter across the street and toured the island. perfect extended our stay for 2 more days we loved it so much.

5 star location 3 star hotel
The Luamar won't be beaten for location, being directly on the beach with stunning views and a great outdoor pool area. Against my better judgement we paid the supplement for sea view apartment and I have to confess it was brilliant and completely worthwhile. The breakfast was really good, staff friendly/efficient and a lovely local restaurant across the road. The biggest disappointed was the apartment itself (1 bed)- extremely small, very dated and no air conditioning in the main room (where our children were sleeping). Ideally you'll need 2 bedroom apartment for a family of 4. Overall we had a great time and it's tough to knock the hotel on the basis of the room as we spent so little time there....however, whilst the location is 5 star, the hotel is 3 star at best. Porto Santo is a delight.

Nice for beach vacations
This is an hotel good for people who want to relax at a beach. The hotel has stairs directly to the beach. It does not offer in site all inclusive packages, which, for me, is an advantage but it may be different for others. It is located between two bigger hotels and, some times, one gets the noise (beach music) from the contiguous hotels. But the beach of Luamar is the least crowded from the 3 hotels. The facilities are not luxury but they are pleasant enough. Most apartments (if not all) have nice balconies. A view to the beach may include a view to the pool which, sometimes, is crowded with children and, obviously, noisy. So, the solution is to go to the beach and walk along the beach.

Some of the staff was very helpful, some not. Wonderful places, just by the ocean. Close to pool. Satisfactory apartment exempt the the kitchen witch was not in top function. Perfect also for long and beautiful walks up to the hills and down along the seaside

Really enjoyed!
The hotel was not new, but really in great condition, close to the ocean, with nice pool and deck chairs to use for free. We stayed only one night, as we were staying in Funchal for the whole week. The hotel had a mini bus service to take us to the town, which was very helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

対応の良いスタッフもいたが、施設の説明はほとんどなく、部屋にも説明書などもなかったのでわかりにくかった。ホテルの向かい側にポルトガル料理のレストランがあったので便利だった。 値段のわりに、朝食が簡素でした。

Um paraíso a não perder de vista!
Estadia bastante agradável, num hotel com uma localização excelente, na primeira linha da praia, com funcionários muito prestáveis e simpáticos. Pequeno almoço com qualidade e diversidade. Uma outra mais-valia foi, sem dúvida, a do transporte gratuito do hotel até ao centro, e vice-versa, numa viatura para o efeito (pois optámos por não levar carro) e, no dia do check-out, pudemos permanecer na unidade hoteleira até à hora embarque. Recomendamos vivamente!

Hotel sulla spiaggia nel vero senso della parola
Camere sicuramente da ammodernare nella zona letto e nella zona soggiorno. Bagno recentemente rifatto. Colazione per tutti i gusti. Personale discreto, sorridente e sempre disponibile. Posizione: mai visto nulla di simile! Direttamente sulla piu' bella spiaggia dell'isola.

Hotel buono attaccato alla spiaggia.
Hotel buono con tutti i confort che si puo desiderare. Piscine di dimensione ottime con angolo per bambini. L'hotel e direttamente collegato alla spiaggia scendendo direttamente dalle piscine. Unica pecca e che mancava il fohn. Pulizia ottima ogni due giorni ed a volte tutti i giorni. Il wi-fi era solo nella hall gratis.

Pontos Positivos: Localização junto à praia,hall de entrada, Piscina, simpatia dos funcionários. Pontos negativos: alojamento a necessitar de renovação, falta de um estendal, transporte entre a vila e o aparthotel com horarios pouco adequados, falta de um serviço de aluguer de bicicletas, limpeza da piscina devia de estar concluida antes do seu horario de abertura , não faz sentido a abertura ser às 09h e às 11h ainda estar a ser limpa.

environnement idyllique
superbe hôtel, dans un environnement idyllique, personnel très agréable et serviable, seul petite fausse note : le sauna et le jacuzzi payant..... dommage . Le service de bus est un peu restreint, nous avons loué une voiture, sinon on reste un peu sur sa faim pour la visite de l'île. Mais nous reviendrons, promis !!!!!

On the beach
The hotel is right on the beach, ca. one hour's walk to the town centre, complementary minibus gets you to and from in the morning and afternoon. Sadly no such shuttle from or to the ferry. A local bar across the road serves good meals. The apartments are furnished with essentials for making own food. So-called "minimarket" was very limited in choice, but a quick trip into town on the shuttle is all that is needed to fill the fridge. Very clean swimming pool.

Super localisation directement sur la plage entrecoupé seulement par une belle petite piscine avec coin pour les plus petits.Il y a aussi un excellent restaurant extérieur a quelques pas de la plage.Un peu loin de la petite ville,mais au meilleur endroit sur la plage.Les chambres sont très propres et équipées (mêmes les serviettes de plage sont fournies).Les chambres vues mer sont à conseillées car magnifique et qu'il y a un bar juste à côté de l'hôtel avec de la musique jusqu'à tard le soir!Hôtel très recommendable!

Recomiendo este lugar para quien quiera disfrutar de unas vacaciones de relax en una preciosa playa de fina arena. El hotel está a pie de playa y solo tienes que dejarte caer de la tumbona de la piscina para disfrutar de la fina arena y de un agua cristalina. Excelente trato por parte de todo el personal del Apartahotel.

Luamar aparthotel Porto Santo
Hotel decisamente comodo per una vita da spiaggia e all'insegna del massimo relax. La soluzione con angolo attrezzato a cucina, separato dalla stanza da letto (praticamente un piccolo bilocale), permette di gestirsi autonomamente i pasti, senza l'obbligo di doversi servire dei ristoranti (peraltro abbastanza numerosi nelle vicinanze e a prezzi decisamente abbordabili). In generale, l'isola di Porto Santo è invidiabile per il clima, decisamente mite e caratterizzato da escursioni termiche molto limitate; la sensazione di benessere che si prova è davvero unica. Consigliato a chi ama vacanze tranquille all'insegna di lunghe passeggiate e ozio sulla spiaggia o in piscina.

This was the second time i was here. Really enjoyed it. Nice and clean hotel right next to the beach. Vere good service. I will go to this again. Recommended! Extra cred to bartender in the poolarea. ---------------------------------- Andra gången jag var på detta hotell. Trivdes verkligen. Rent och fräscht hotell precis i anslutning till stranden. LUAMA,R PORTO SANTO - POUR LES AMOUREUX DE L OCEAN AVEC CONFORT ASSURE
Excellente situation le long de la très longue et superbe plage de Porto Santo, clientèle portugaise et internationale jeune et moins jeune, personnel très accueillant, logement confortable avec chambre séparée, kitchenette bien équipée, télé à écran plat (pas de chaîne francophone), mise à disposition gratuite d ordinateurs et d internet dans le hall de l hôtel, piscine non chauffée. Cela étant, hôtel un peu à l écart du centre et des bars et restaurants, la navette gratuite de l hôtel (seulement en semaine) et les transports publics sont assurés seulement jusque vers 18-19h, et en dehors des mois d été pas de restaurant ni de bar à l hôtel même qui ne sert que le petit-déjeuner (buffet correct). Il y a une petite boutique à l hôtel, mais pour des plats chauds à cuisiner soi-même il faut faire ses courses au supermarché, le premier à 2 kms. Mais qu importe, les balades sont fabuleuses, on est face à la mer, et puis un taxi vers le centre à 4 kms ne coûte même pas 10 euros. En conclusion, si les possibilités existent de sortir le soir (bars et boîtes dans le centre relativement animés en été), l hôtel est à recommander en tout premier lieu aux vacanciers appréciant la mer et le calme (et ne craignant pas le vent, sourire) dans un environnement préservé et exclusif

sehr schöne direkte Strandlage
Obwohl das Hotel nur schwach belegt war, wurde der kostenlose Shuttle-Bus-Service komplett aufrechterhalten. Dies war sehr angenehm. Aufgrund der beim Einchecken vorgelegten Pässe wurde sogar ein Geburtstag bemerkt und wir waren angenehm überrascht von dem uns ins App. servierten eisgekühlten Sekt samt Gläsern. Das Frühstück bot genügend Auswahl incl. Müsli, Obst und Yoghurt und die Frühstückseier wurden je nach Wunsch frisch zubereitet. Der einzige Minuspunkt war der Kaffee, wir fanden ihn leider ungeniessbar und sind auf Tee umgestiegen. Das Hotel hat unmittelbare Strandlage und bietet so die Möglichkeit, in beide Richtungen wunderschöne Strandwanderungen zu unternehmen. Wer einmal einen Überblick über die ganze Insel bekommen möchte, kann dies auch gut mit einem Taxi erfahren, welches alle Aussichtspunkte anfährt und genügend Zeit zum Aufenthalt für kleine Rundgänge und zum Fotografieren und Filmen lässt. Die Preise sind recht moderat und Erklärun-gen zur Insel und ihrerGeschichte gab es gratis dazu. Das Hotelpersonal war kompetent und freundlich und so können wir das Hotel eigentlich nur weiterempfehlen.
