Elegant hotelPosted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: The rooms with balconies were fabulous with views from your bed of the bay. The reception staff were very friendly & helpful. Pool was excellent.
Cons: A little more variety at breakfast - A pool snack bar - lunch time snacks available - cheaper drinks & evening meals -very expensive & not good value
Location: Lovely views but about a 20 min walk to town - lots of restaurants in Rapallo Lots of interesting towns along the coast.
This hotel was a glistening jewel on the landscape in Rapallo as you approached the marina by boat.

Nice hotel, 15 to 20 minute walk from Rapallo townPosted Aug 31, 2014
Pros: Staff friendly, carpeted in rooms and corridors so not bothered by noise. Try and get a room overlooking the sea for stunning views over the bay,
Location: Ferry to local towns from seafront in Rapallo, trains easy to use to/from Genoa and cheap!
Lovely quiet hotel 15/20 minute walk from Rapalllo town centre. All restaurants along the sea front in Rapallo, well lit pathway alongside the beach from the hotel.

Excellent Hotel, we definitely stay here again.Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The views form the hotel balcony, the food and the location.
Cons: Please see my comments above.
Three issues for us.. 1/ Room 512 sits under the lift motors and every time the lift moves you here the motors. 2/ Music at the pool may be appropriate for a hotel in the Caribbean does not create the right environment for a hotel on the Italian Riviera! 3/ The hotel hosted a wedding party on the Saturday night of our stay and it was impossible to park anywhere within the hotel grounds. Since the hotel charges guests to park within the grounds and I suspect guests of the wedding party do not pay, space should be allocated to hotel guests as a priority, this was quite irritating. Overall a supern hotel, great location, very good food and good service.

In the midst of the Italian RivieraPosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Staff were always helpful and accommodating.
Cons: Internet service. Most hotels now offer this service for free.
Location: We like to walk so this was ideal for us, i.e., 15minute walk to the local restaurants, train station to Cinque Terre.
Hotel as published is difficult to find, i.e., no such address as Aurelia Oriental. spent an hour locating the hotel after a five-hour drive. Bathroom was relatively small for a man my size.

Grand hotel BristolPosted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: Pool, breakfast and bar staff
Cons: General maintenance and receptionists, menu in restaurant not changed in over a week.
Reception staff somewhat disinterested. Shower cubicle smallest I've ever seen. Maintenance of rooms neglected.

Old world charmPosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: The views and location. Walking into Rapallo (15 mins but you'll need that to walk off the wonderful food!) but far enough out for peace
Cons: Would agree with others that the service was a little slow on occasion, eg waiting for coffee and for food to be replenished on the buffet.
Location: Ferry trip to Santa Margherita and Portofino definitely worthwhile
We stayed for a week in this hotel early July 2014. The building had old world standing and the views from our balcony were breathtaking. Breakfast taken on the terrace afforded the same views. For a hotel of this standard I would say it's looking a little tired although you forgive that because of its charm.
