bate and switch.. I chose them for thier room service..
when i got there he said they no longer do it, then why is it on your site as amenaties included? thats when he stopped understanding english. he also said I had to give a credit card. when I checked out or rather tryed too. thats when he informed me of a $25 charge for nothing and of course thier printer was down and I was refused a comfermation .. I will never ever go to a Holiday inn again..

We didn't charge the card and the funds will be released according to your financial institutions policy.
There’s a pool and a diner that’s always busy right next to it - fresh off the highway and a good place to stay In Portsmouth - cheaper than market square and only a few minutes to the inner city - also city in parking is cheap $2-4 bucks an hour so better to save money here vs market square- rooms were clean and good

Cuando llegué me atendió un joven amable. En el Restaurant un señor amable. Cuando hice el check out una mujer NO amable.
¿que le pasa a los jóvenes de hoy?...¿no les gusta trabajar?, ¿esa niña debe seguir ahí?...¿los jóvenes están enojados con la vida?..Antes este hotel era bueno...hoy no. Otra cosa: no es buena idea tener a solo 1 persona en la mañana tomando pedidos para el desayuno...¡yo nunca pude ocupar mis papelitos para tomar desayuno!...porque el muchacho tenía a 20 personas atendiendo a la vez...Imposible esperarlo...tenemos que trabajar! Mejor hagan un autoservicio y se arregla el problema.

Excellent staff, beautiful comfortable rooms, great atmosphere, the bartender was terrific in the on site pub, easy checkin, easy checkout, very affordable rates!

So enjoyed the beds and pillows!! The front desk was very helpful when checking in. When we returned to the hotel we went into the bar area and the 2 gentlemen behind the bar were awesome 👏
My only complaint would be the shower surface was so slippery I had to put a towel down to feel safe while showering

Only provided a hot cooked breakfast, no cereal, yogurt, toast etc. very poor for those who do not want a hot breakfast, but no other choice. They need to add cereal, etc.

We had a great weekend stay. The hotel & rooms were very clean, best toiletries!
The breakfast restaurant was a great little surprise. The guys in the pub make great drinks and it was a nice place to hang out.
Proximity to downtown was great.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful given our room had several water leaks in the ceiling when we arrived. They promptly moved us. The location is near the interstate so it is convenient to access and parking is easy and free. It was a nice walk to town, about a mile but all sidewalks and residential routes. We chose not to dine there. There are more nice options in town. It was pricey but less than similar hotels in downtown Portsmouth.

Hotel has no soul ! Staff barely did their job, no customer service, not welcoming. Would be nice if they played some ambient music in the lobby, seems cold and corporate. Elevators were dirty, looked like they were moving furniture in them even though they were not. There was food stuck to the floor.
Location is good about 20 min walk to town center but it feels like your staying in a jail cell. Staff seem unhappy and have no interest in their customers.

I was very disappointed that a Continental Breakfast was not included in the room fee. It seems that for the price advertised, this is an amenity that should be included.

The hotel is under renovation, so it’s loud and there are random people walking through. We took a wrong turn going to the parking lot and accidentally walked into a dark dirty basement space, there were no signs leading to the actual exit and it was easy to get lost. We then got to our room and it smelled like smoke and mold. The room was dirty (crumbs on the floor, ceiling looked dirty and cracked around the edges). After about ten minutes we discovered the ceiling was dripping water onto the bed.

Service was the best part of my stay and that was a 5 out of 10. No hotel info in room like pool hours and ice machine locations.
