Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
First rate service all around: Comfortable room equipped with iPad, helpful and friendly staff, quality foods for continental breakfast. Beautiful living spaces for guests to visit, read, or play games. Location on the edge of downtown Portsmouth, within easy walking distance to restaurants, stores, and historical sites.

Cute Hotel!

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: Style, charm, comfortable.
Location: The Black Trumpet, Ceres St Wine Merchant.
I only stayed here for a night. The hotel staff was welcoming and allowed us to check in early and gave us a map of the little city. There are even some discounts available for the best restaurant in town just for staying at the hotel! The beds were really comfortable and the duvet was really cute, the room had a Nautical feel. The iPad in the room was a special touch although it would be good if it could be connected to the TV somehow (perhaps chrome cast). The only poor part of the experience was that at one point in the night a hotel staff member knocked on our door and told us that the people downstairs wanted us to be quiet, but my friend and I were not being loud. We did have the TV on, but we felt it was a big enough hotel that noise would not be an issue. Other than that everything went swimmingly and I've already recommended this hotel to several friends!

Charming hotel right in town

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: Fantastic location with style and charm.
Location: Great restaurants and shopping, walking distance from parks, port and museums
This hotel has enormous charm and a hardworking friendly staff. The room was great, comfortable, lots of character and decorated beautifully. We enjoyed everything from the look of it to the incredible pillows! The staff identified some fantastic restaurants and couldn't have been more helpful.

Very comfortable room with quality amenities and features. Only drawback was the noise in the hallways. Rooms could be soundproofed
