Quality Inn Poughkeepsie exceeded my expectations, and exceeded poor reviews on this site. It was reasonably priced, clean, quiet, and convenient for my purpose of visiting a student at Vassar College. It is located near many dining options and easy to reach. I'll stay here every time I visit Poughkeepsie.

Very clean! Also, first time since covid 2020 where there was housekeeping on a two night stay. TV didn't work properly was my only complaint.

Do not stay here. Horrible management. Scammers charged $250 fee for finding a cup with a cigarette in it from me smoking OUTSIDE. Did not smoke once in the room but charged me for leaving my cup from outside that i put my cigarette butt in to be kind and not litter outside. Never thought something like that could happen to me. I would never smoke in the room I don’t smoke in my own house. This really affected me financially too. I am fighting the claim and trying to get my money back for my whole stay. This place is scammers.

My only issue was that they hold on to my 500 for no reason, and when I went to inquire about it i was told it was the system automatically hold it, I had to wait four days before I get back my money. That money is different from the 25 hold of if any damages to the room or such .

Ive stayed here before and this time the room was absolutely spotless. Its always been clean but WOW this time was amazing. I prefer the main building and happy to stay there. It is safe, well lighted, and secure. The staff could not be nicer or more helpful. Thanks for a great stay.

Nothing staff was rude including management, me, my wife and my five month old baby arrived earlier then checking and told us we had to wait in the freezing cold until 3 PM and it was 3 AM all due to a misunderstanding on check-in time I never got to stay they kept my money called the police and said we couldn’t stay

Good for a nights stay
The pool was nice, the breakfast was ok as well. The room was good and bed was comfortable. The facility gets a big thank you from me as I booked the wrong day by mistake and they allowed me to switch to the next night without a problem.

Room was immaculate. Staff very nice. Breakfast was okay. The OJ in the machine was a very dark color and the taste was off. And not a lot of low carb options, but the waffle did taste good :)

The desk clerk was very friendly and offered us an inside room instead of the outside one which was originally booked. The beds were very comfortable and I really like the weight of the bedding. Breakfast was just okay.

Reception issue
Room was clean and a nice size. However, you could hear the people above you every time they moved. Which for some reason was all night. During check in, we arrived to an unoccupied desk. After waiting a couple of minutes, the phone rang. Someone came out to answer the phone and ignored us. They took the reservation of the person on the phone while we waited, despite having arrived before the phone rang. The receptionist should have put them on hold so that we could check in first.
