Lousy hotel in new paltz area

Posted Sep 1, 2014
The room was dingy and smelled like a sewer. It was late when we checked in so we couldn't find another room.

Not worth the money

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Cons: The rooms could be thoroughly cleaned and the old carpeting replaced.
Location: The hotel is on the main drag in New Palz, an interesting university town that has a variety of decent places to eat. We were just passing through...
We chose this hotel for its proximity to Hyde Park and because it was the only place that still had a non-smoking room on one day's notice. The bed was comfortable enough, but the room smelled (perhaps because the water smelled!); the rug was old and not very clean; and the shower still had someone else's hair on the tile wall. The person at the desk was pleasant and helpful in suggesting places for dinner; that was the one saving grace.

Room- ok, little amenities, water in shower had a chlorine smell to it. Loud noises from the upper level. Best part was the new employee who checked me in- she was very friendly and took an interest in my plans for the weekend.

We were drunk from the wedding anyway

Posted Jun 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
It is walking distance from a subpar diner and an amazing liquor store. There is a strip club next door that apparently has a free salad bar and the hotel itself features a pool and a creepy tree line straight out of a David Lynch movie. Anyway, it was close enough to the wedding we went to so cabs were no problem. I appreciated being able to get a bagel in the morning and the pastries from Sam's Club were no joke either. Service wasn't that great, but anybody with reasonable people skills should be able to deal with some poor service from time to time.

It was not a good experience the beds were hard and squeeky, there was a dead bug under the sheets, the refrigerater had mold and was not plugged in. Breakfast was bananas and bagels. But if in a pinch will work.

Overpriced and filthy.

Overpriced and filthy. Stained sheets and furniture. Right next door to the raunchiest strip club/ brothel in the known world. Good place for a murder or a drug deal.
