“Okay Location / Avg. Motel”

Stayed here while visiting SUNY NP and the location was good. There are no amendities at the Motel and the rooms are clean but worn.

“Not great”

After reading the previous reviews I was expecting great things. I did not find them. It was clean for the most part, but it definitely wasn't worth what I paid. There were 2 other Super 8's in the area that looked much nicer than this one. We were definitely wishing we had spent our money elsewhere.

“Eh...”

The service was great. The hotel entrance was not marked. The rooms were outdated other than the television. I guess the thing that creeped me out was the fact that the lawn furniture was chained to shrubs. It gave me the feeling that I was staying in a very shady area.

“will stay there again”

It is a very nice surprise; it has been family owned for a long time and motel staff are also long term employees. It offers a Continental breakfast that includes cold cereal, fresh pastries, rolls, and bagels. Hot coffee and hot water for tea are available. There are laundry facilities for guests. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels. Normally I have trouble falling asleep, but not here. There is some road noise, depending on room location. This is not a place for people travelling with pets. Pets of any sort are not allowed anywhere on the premises.

Hotel nice and clean, but the continetal breakfast was not the best i've had at a hotel stay.

the location off the thruway is the best reason. you can get most everywhere in the mid hudson valley from there.

“You REALLY should pick this hotel when in New Paltz..”

The Super 8 is really worth the money. You will not find a better deal in New Platz for comfort, cleanliness and customer service. They renovated the hotel a few years ago and it has become the place to stay (except of cause Mohonk Mountain House.. but that's $400 a night!) They supply a free contintental breakfast every morning. On a personal note, let me tell you about my check-in experience. My Wife and I drove up to Sam's Preserve and did about 6 hours of hiking. The weather got a lot more muggy than we anticiapated and we both started getting very hungry. We made it to the Super 8 and when I went to check in, I asked the lady at the desk to pardon my self-conscious messy appearance. I told her about our adventure hiking and that I needed to find a candy machine ASAP. She said they had just gotten a pizza delivered and offered a MUCH needed slice to me Wife and I. I cannot tell you how much this helped and meant to us. This very personal experience will bring us back there to the Super 8 many more times to come.

“Cheap and clean...”

...but a little lacking in service. I had called ahead to see if we could get our room earlier than the 3pm check-in time. Was told it wouldn't be a problem. When we arrived the front desk clerk didn't even look up at me and I was told none of the rooms where cleaned yet (at 1:45pm) not the friendliest place but the room was clean and I wasn't going to complain for what I paid...
