Pros: Quiet.
We were made to feel very welcome by the receptionist. It's possible he may have been the owner, but I didn't ask. Also he was very accommodating with the continental breakfast.

Pros: Seemed to be newly re-furbished. Pleasing to the eye.
Cons: Smokers need to be kept out of non-smoking rooms!
Room was nice/new/well accommodated. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke, a pretty major flaw.

This room stinks

We reserved a non-smoking room. The room we were given reeked of smoke, there were cigarette burn marks on the bath tub & walls. There were also holes in the wall & marks which appeared to have been made by over-heated electrical appliances. We were led to believe there were no other room options. This was a disappointing stay as we had book a room well in advance.

First room was to bad to even stay in. Second room, I had the spend an hour bug catching and stuffing wall holes with paper to be able to relax. Staff was nice, but had no idea what they were doing. Hotel is under new management and it doesn't seem to be going well. Don't stay there if you don't absolutely have too.

Pros: Close to interstate, waffle house, shonies and wiegles
Cons: Repair the holes in the wall, clean the rooms, and wash the bathroom floors.
Location: It was close to the interstate.
Water preesure was not good, furniture torn and dirty. Some staff were helpful. Had to go to front to request housekeeping service, overall it was dirty.

New owner needs to give alot of TLC to hotel before opening. Unfortunately cleaning staff all quit when he took over ownership.

We arrived a day late due to my mistake. They advised they never had an application for me for a room either day and I had to pay AGAIN. I don't know if Expedia did not enter into contract with Super 8 for me or not or if clerk pocketed money after I didn't show 1st night. I do know that I prepaid Expedia. Expedia owes me for at least one day refund... Other than that it was a nice hotel..

Bugs in the room which I hear is common for the area. Staff was to come in a clean up what bugs they could get. never did. faulty smoke detector. went off in middle of night. staff just said to remove it. wouldn't replace battery. room was very old and dirty.

The front desk was courteous but that's about all I can say good about Super 8 Knoxville North/Powell. Upon arrival/checking in, I overheard a loud dog barking and cigarette smoke billowing out from a room in front of the stairs leading to our room... I dismissed that and continued to our room. As soon as I walked in I WAS TAKEN ABACK BY THE BUGS CRAWLING EVERYWHERE! Bugs crawling on the ceiling, walls, furniture, air conditioner and bed. Absolutely GROSS. We checked out immediately.
