Beautiful Old BuildingPosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: The deco and the breakfasts
Location: It is based in a small village and there are 2 pubs within 5 minutes walking that do lovely food. Powys Castle is about 30mins away and Devils Bridge
The hotel was gorgeous and has been decorated for the era when it was built. We had a lovely room and the deco was gorgeous. The room and ensuite facilities were spotless and the bed was made every day. The breakfasts were gorgeous and Marilyn (the owner) was very friendly and catered for myself as I have food intolerances. This is definitely a hotel to be recommended and being situated within a small village, it is very quiet. Roll on our next trip.

Nice location, nice placePosted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: The location, the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner
Cons: Breakfast finishes at 8.30, which is a minor irritation. The bed was rather creaky and the decor was a little dated, but they are doing it up.
Location: Lots of walking, Aberystwyth and Llanidloes, the Blue Bell in the village does excellent food and local beer.
Close to the road network and the countryside. It's currently being done up, so it's not top marks, but the owner is lovely, the breakfasts are fab, the bed is comfy and the shower has loads of hot water at a good pressure. There were also comfy chairs and lots of tea/coffee and biscuits provided in our room. We would definitely visit again.

Returned to the old vicarage following an enjoyable stay last year. the host was wonderful and very attentive to us on arrival and throughout the stay. My daughter was extremely happy with our accommodation and close proximity to beaches and attractions. we will be back next year!

Pleasant enough, very friendly and helpful landlady. A bit out of the way but fine if you are fossicking around mid Wales. Lots of helpful information in the room. Weather no good but can't blame anyone for that!. Room small but adequate, bathroom small but sufficient.
