Honestly it was my first trip to Italy and I spent 2 days in Naples. This hotel was reccomended and I can only agree. Its out of the city but not too far away. It would be a good idea to have your own car handy or at least have taxi etc. Workers and hotel crew were very kind and homely. They speak English enough to communicate comfortably and offer site-seeing advice. Pool and tennis courts are great and the view at night is Beautiful. Rooms are not luxurious but very comfortable and provides you with all you need.

A stunning hotel with fantastic views, both back and front, with Naples bay to the front and mountains and volcanoes to the rear. Though be aware that these views are available purely because of the hotels location, situated at the top of the Volcano, Solfatara. The road to the hotel is via a VERY steep incline which can take 10-15 mins to walk. For those averse to walking or hiring a car while in Italy your only option are taxis, otherwise this hotel is not for you, which is sad because it is stunning. The staff are very polite, pleasant and welcoming and the food first class. A major attraction of this hotel for us was that even in August it is not teaming with tourists (Pozzouli, while steeped in history is not yet a tourist destination by the Brits) which meant that the fabulous outdoor swimming pool was there for us to enjoy whenever we wished. So if your idea of a great holiday is a quiet break away in a quiet, clean 4* hotel while soaking up the hot summer sunshine, then this is the place. Try not to be put of by the major walk required getting to and from the hotel otherwise you'll be missing out on a fantastic holiday experience.

The hotel was really nice and the staff were wonderful. Our room was great, with much needed air conditioning, plenty of room, though the bathroom shower was a bit small, we had a lovely view of the Bay Of Naples. The breakfast was nice, on offer were cereal, yogurts, fruit, salami and ham, rolls, spreadable cheese and jams, sweet pastries such as croissants and really tasty doughnuts; tea, coffee and juice. The location of the hotel is in a modern Italian suburb, on a major coastal road; if we had got a room on the roadside we would have been disappointed. The location of the hotel is good for people who have cars and who are travelling around the bay and seeing lots of sights, or for business people. We were a couple travelling by public transport and so we found the whole area quite urban, and if we were coming back to the area we would want to stay somewhere more picturesque. This hotel is in a good location to drive into Pozzuoli, park up; and take the ferry to the beautiful islands of Procida and Ischia.

Considering my Italian is very poor, the staff were welcoming and accomodating to our insufficient communication abilities. They went out of their way to help us, were always friendly and approachable. The desk seemed to be open 24 hours.
The breakfast is generous and always fresh.
The room is cleaned daily and to a high standard.
Great value :)
Be warned, however, that there is no beach directy opposite, it's about a 15 minute walk to one in either direction. There's a beautiful nature park - Monte Nuovo - closer.
