Everything from the staff, to the complimentary cheese and wine in the gorgeous sitting area, to the AMAZING pool was extraordinary. Everywhere you look you will see extravagance and beauty. The chandeliers are amazing.

Romantic and welcoming hotel

Posted Dec 30, 2013
Pros: Warm, welcoming, romantic and cozy interiors. Good location with little traffic due to the security controls for the American Embassy.
Cons: Thermostatic heating controls in the rooms. Call bell in the bar to prevent going to reception to get service staff.
Location: Not far from Karlov bridge. Near various good restaurants and bars. Quiet yet central location. Near touristic churches and castle.
We visited this hotel just before Christmas. It has a warm and welcoming romantic interior with over the top Italian neo-baroque furniture providing a comfy setting for our week in Prague. The location is ideal, not far from the Karlov bridge. The staff were pleasant and helpful, rooms spacious, clean and warm (a little too warm with attempts to turn the radiators down as there were no thermostats. Airconditioning seems to be thermostatically controlled). The restaurant serves nice food, although it seemed to struggle to keep its eggs and bacon warm in the morning. Staff were however quick to cook fresh and warm food. The gym is quite small. The spa more alluring.

Fab hotel location good

Saff, service excellent. Hotel fabulous. Downside - ordered room service and a glass of wine was 'off'. Requested a room overlooking courtyard as romantic break instead got room 115!! At 6.30 onwards I was awoke by staff slamming doors the view consisted of the building opposite being 10 feet away!!! Awful. Cars driving down the cobble street below my bedroom Prague is a wonderful place to visit but be prepared for the hostile nationals - not very 'smiley'

The hotel was very welcoming and tried to make our stay very pleasant. Mohammed was especially friendly and responsive to requests. The breakfast was ample and dinner was very good. The service was good.

Pros: Location, comfort, you name it, it was great.
Location: Heart of Lesser Town, great location almost in the shadow of the Prague Castle, short walk to everything!
My wife's 50th birthday treat, perfect place to take her for a weekend of spoiling.

Staff was extremely helpful. They offer car service to the airport- much better than Prague taxi drivers. Breakfast to die for!

I can't thank the Alchymist staff enough for a great stay at their hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist informed me that my rooms had been booked for the night before and the night I had arrived- I was a day late.. I had really screwed up! I couldn't believe I had booked the wrong dates for our trip and I was distraught. Never the less, the staff brought us prosecco and a warm towel as a welcome. They helped me to relax and made sure that there was room for us to stay a second night. After that was taken care of they took us for a tour and then to our rooms- they were so helpful! The next day, the receptionist informed me that he had contacted Expedia and arranged for the dates to be moved so we would not have to pay for the additional night.. I couldn't believe it! Normally hotels don't care but they went out of their way to help. I recommend this hotel!

Excellent hotel. Free wine and cheese every day, complementary champagne on arival. There was a mix-up with our taxi to the airport (another guest took our booked taxi by mistake), so to help, the hotel gave us a complementary trip in the hotel limosuine.
