Exceptional boutique hotelPosted Apr 19, 2014
Cons: Some noise in the mornings from the maids cleaning. Would have liked a hot tub in the spa. Only wet sauna was for the men.
Location: You can easily go to most of the historical places if you don't mind walking. We saw it as a great way to explore the city and get exercise.
We stayed in Prague for 6 nights and felt very pampered at this hotel. It was beautiful in an old world style with lovely furnishings, venitian plaster walls and hardwood floors. The staff was friendly and helpful. The included breakfast buffet was wonderful. The hotel was outside of the old city but within walking distance to Prague Castle and most of the historical districts if you don't mind walking. We always use a sound machine (white noise) at night so we were not bothered by too much noise. However we did notice some early morning noise when the maids were cleaning. The workout room was good and not at all crowded. The hotel would probably benefit from a hot tub in the spa area, but the spa was beautiful. I did get a massage which was ok, not the best. We also enjoyed exploring all of the passage ways and staircases. There is a wine tasting every evening although I cannot say that Czech wine is very good. But if we ever go back we would definitely stay there again! Every detail about the decor and faux painting was lovely and well thought out.

A great place to stay- truly exceptionalPosted Mar 27, 2014
The hotel staff was the best staff of any hotel I have ever been in. Always friendly and courteous. The common rooms are beautiful and extremely interesting. The wine tasting was free and so was the steam room and sauna. The hotel was about a 15 minute walk to the old city square but there were good restaurants near the hotel, bars , grocery stores for convenience. The rooms are large, the ceilings high. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

Stunning HotelPosted Mar 25, 2014
My husband and I stayed here for five nights recently and really enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is beautiful in every way spotlessly clean and the decor is magical. Breakfast is a feast and they do cheese and wine tasting free of charge every day between 5-6 again a real treat for its customers. The staff are very helpful and give a lovely personal service. It's perfectly located for exploring Prague as everything is so close. We ate at the hotel restaurant Aquarius which again is faultless, food superb, waiters friendly and welcoming and they also had a pianist which added to a great ambience. Sadly we didn't get chance to use the spa as we were so busy every day however we did have a look and it's like something out of Disney world. I would highly recommend a stay here as you are looked after and spoilt for the whole of your trip!

Very good reception service, PR staff communications and F&B service and staff hospitality! Best is choices of food at breakfasts can have some varieties to make it more interesting and better still the chefs standards can maintain! Our Jr Suite Room is very clean, spacious, comfortable, bathroom is modern and have good provisions. Decorations & linens need some enhancements. Tea/coffee replenishments are needed! Spa has good staff service, choices of products can be more!

Everything from the staff, to the complimentary cheese and wine in the gorgeous sitting area, to the AMAZING pool was extraordinary. Everywhere you look you will see extravagance and beauty. The chandeliers are amazing.

Romantic and welcoming hotelPosted Dec 30, 2013
Pros: Warm, welcoming, romantic and cozy interiors. Good location with little traffic due to the security controls for the American Embassy.
Cons: Thermostatic heating controls in the rooms. Call bell in the bar to prevent going to reception to get service staff.
Location: Not far from Karlov bridge. Near various good restaurants and bars. Quiet yet central location. Near touristic churches and castle.
We visited this hotel just before Christmas. It has a warm and welcoming romantic interior with over the top Italian neo-baroque furniture providing a comfy setting for our week in Prague. The location is ideal, not far from the Karlov bridge. The staff were pleasant and helpful, rooms spacious, clean and warm (a little too warm with attempts to turn the radiators down as there were no thermostats. Airconditioning seems to be thermostatically controlled). The restaurant serves nice food, although it seemed to struggle to keep its eggs and bacon warm in the morning. Staff were however quick to cook fresh and warm food. The gym is quite small. The spa more alluring.

Fab hotel location goodPosted Nov 28, 2013
Saff, service excellent. Hotel fabulous. Downside - ordered room service and a glass of wine was 'off'. Requested a room overlooking courtyard as romantic break instead got room 115!! At 6.30 onwards I was awoke by staff slamming doors the view consisted of the building opposite being 10 feet away!!! Awful. Cars driving down the cobble street below my bedroom Prague is a wonderful place to visit but be prepared for the hostile nationals - not very 'smiley'
