Excellent location steps away from Charles Bridge

Posted Mar 11, 2014
I had a very pleasant stay at Bishop's House and found all of the staff I came into contact with very welcoming, polite and helpful. As it was my first vist to Prague, I had many questions about the city which Alena took the time to answer, and she did provide me with some very helpful advice. Furthermore, Slavek assisted me with confirming my airport transfer. My room was spotless, extremely quiet and perfect for my needs. The breakfast buffet provided an array of fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries, breakfast cereals, coldmeats and hot dishes. Overall, I cannot fault my stay and would certainly make a reservation for my next visit. Highly recommended.

From thinking I was going to die, to pure bliss.

Pros: The breakfast, the way the bed felt like a dozen clouds and the shower. It's the little things.
Cons: Make the bowl of fruit real....I found out too late.
Location: Bishops house is located pretty much on Charles Bridge. You have the best of both worlds. Enjoy!
I'll start with the title. I arranged to have a pick up at the airport (shared transport) and walking through the arrivals, a nearly bald man in a suit (like Jason Statham if you've seen 'Transporter') was holding up my full name on a peice of card. Very Proffessional. I asked if there was anyone else we should wait for, he said 'Only you'. I panicked. Now of course, if you've seen too many movies of nearly bald men in suits, you expect you're going to die. This was re confirmed when I tried to get into the front seat of his brand new black BMW. There was paper work on the seat so he said 'No, no, you in the back.' Yep, defintely dead. I didn't mind though, what a cool way to die. About 15 minutes into the drive I realised I wasn't dead and that this was one of the coolest experiences ever! My own (I don't know how to spell this so I'll do it as it sounds) showfer. Embarassing. I got there in one piece and had a beatiful time with the hotel being beyond my expectations and I thank them for it.

Nice location, room okay

The location cannot be beat. I'd return to this hotel just for the location. But the room was not anything special. We were right off of the reception desk on a very awkward hall with just two rooms. The room showed obvious signs of wear on the carpet and hasty repair in the bathroom. Amazing location, passable hotel.

Super hotel right next to Charles Bridge

Posted Dec 7, 2013
Pros: small but perfectly formed. Close to everything but tucked away into a small square. Quiet, warm and cosy
Cons: A good selection of speciality teas but English breakfast tea would be a very welcome addition
Location: Ideal location for exploring both sides of the river. Castle area and old town all within walking distance (castle is an uphill walk). Plentiful cafe

Wonderful Hotel in a beautiful City

Posted Nov 7, 2013
Pros: We liked the fact that it had a rustic and charming feel about it and felt very comfortable. Our room was larger than we expected and very clean.
Cons: Nothing; we were pleased with everything.
Location: Being located just by the Charles Bridge, we were close to the Castle but also within easy walking distance to the Old Town and other sights.
My husband and I spent two nights in Prague staying at the Bishop's House Hotel. We could not have chosen better; it is a lovely hotel right underneath one side of the Charles Bridge, in a quaint cobbled street. It was within walking distance to everywhere and crossing the Charles Bridge every morning was delightful. The breakfast at the hotel was also very good and filled us until late in the afternoon.

Great hotel location for sightseeing!

Pros: The best thing about this is the location, but it is a really good little hotel. The staff are polite and efficient and very helpful.
Cons: N/A
Location: Within easy reach of the Charles Bridge, the river, Castle and Old Town. Many bars and restaurants.
Bishop's House Hotel is next to the Charles Bridge, which takes you across the river to the old town. It is also near the castle, the Cathedral and within easy reach of some good restaurants and bars. The hotel is in a quiet, cobbled square, so you don't hear any traffic noise. There is so much to see and do in Prague and this hotel is an ideal base for all these things.

Nice place close to Charles Bridge

Posted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: Excellent location, good breakfast, clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful, although one fellow was a bit grumpy
Location: Excellent location- we loved walking the Charles Bridge at night and visiting the city centre. Also handy to the castle and Petrin Tower
We really loved Prague and this hotel was nicely situated so that we could get everywhere by walking. We found it very hard to get a good meal for a reasonable price in Prague, but we had the best coffee ever at a local cafe down the street.
