“Feels like a cheap motel”
I have stayed at this hotel about five times in the past six years, since before it became part of the Holiday Inn chain, and noted that it has been getting gradually worse. After my last stay, in late September 2011, I no longer recommend the hotel and will never stay there again. The main problem is that it is enormously overpriced for the services that are on offer. Examples? When I walked in, the receptionist was hanging out at the bar, and had to walk back to assist me. Later on, the night shift's receptionist made a snide, unprofessional, remark when I requested a couple of cosmetic necessities, which are no longer provided automatically but a sign in the room offers them "upon request" to any traveler in need. The most annoying, however, was being awakened at 6:45am by vacuum cleaning in surrounding rooms. The least I would expect from an airport hotel would be an effort to provide restful ambiance, but, alas, that too was unavailable. The overall impression is of a cheap, poorly run, motel.
“Convenient airport hotel”
Good airport location. Provided free transportation to and from airport, but difficult to locate the phone at the airport to arrange for pick up. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Room was clean with good bed linens. You may want to eat before getting to the hotel. Food in restaurant was just okay.
“Good for Prague Airport”
Expensive restaurant, but rooms are reasonable. There is a grocery store and a reasonably priced restaurant next to the Marriott, about a 10 minute walk from the Holiday Inn. Leave plenty of time to check out. It's a slow process.
“Look for the big Holiday Inn built in phone sign at the Prague airport”
The staff is very helpful in informing where to go and use of the public transportation. The hotel has no currency exchange which is a inconvenience. So it is best to have credit card handy. Also when you current exchange at Prague have your passport on hand, bank I went to requires passport ID. Luckily I had a copy of my passport in my pocket. The lady told me she just let me go on that and change my currency.
“just what i needed”
I needed a hotel at the airport and this one filled the bill perfectly. It was really an easy trip (and fun) by public transportation (bus and subway) from the hotel to downtown Prague. And early in the morning, there was a free shuttle to the terminal.
“Great airport hotel.”
Very nice, accommodating hotel staff. Rooms were wonderful, large lobby area, nice outdoor patio. Rooms were air conditioned, which was hard to find in Europe. Free internet access using computers in lobby was great, and bus service both to the airport and to old town was extremely convenient. Only drawback is the distance to Old Town and lack of access to restaurants, etc. For those planning to leave their hotel room in the morning and stay in the tourist areas all day, this is a great hotel in which to relax and unwind.
“very nice room”
Excellent location if you have an early flight.
“Nordstrom Level of Customer Service!”
My husband and I were flying stand-by from Prague back to San Francisco. Due to the cancellation of a Czech flight the previous day, the Delta flight we had hoped to fly us home was over-booked. So back to the hotel we went; the staff immediately asked us what had happened and gave us our same room back at the Expedia price. The Czech republic is not renowned for its customer service; consequently the service we received at the Holiday Inn was even more impressive! And the breakfast buffet was yummy; as was the complimentary glass of champagne the evening of our arrival.
“good to stay overnight between flights, pricy”
The hotel itself is great, very close to the airport, free shuttle. Rooms are nice and clean. Quite. It was claimed there was free wifi - it did not work in the room. I arrived around midnight, it was cold, I wanted to get hot tea, but the bar was closed although claimed to be open 24 hours. Overall, very good to sleep, but maybe too pricy just for that.
“Great place to stay near airport for early AM flight”
We picked this hotel because the reviews on the Marriot at the airport in Prague were not good. Seemed like a great choice. It was a little more difficult to get to from the rental car return (free shuttle versus walk across the street). Only negative was that the breakfast was not included in our room price and they wanted over $25 for each of us for it. Desk staff spoke english and were helpful with needed adapters for free internet.
