Friendly and clean, but try again.

Pros: Clean and friendly
Cons: Poor window covers. No amenities
Location: Sort of near the airport. Hard to find.
The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. The hotel was clean. This is an old utilitarian Communist building. The elevator was a service elevator. No Decorations in the room. There were no Black-out curtains or shades. There were only sheer drapes over the windows, so privacy is compromised. No Hair Dryer, shampoo or mouthwash. Internet was not free. Parking was 8 Euros/200 CZK. There was a weird electronic card lock that you needed to get out of the car to use. It was not easy to find, fortunately for the GPS got us there. Others said it was OK for a night. That's about all. It was a few miles to the airport. I would try another hotel if I need to stay near the airport again. We had to leave before breakfast, so they gave us to go bags for breakfast- 1 cheese sandwich, 1 salami sandwich, apple, hard boiled egg and box of juice.

There seems to be a perception that because you book a room through your service, they can give you a room of lesser quality.

Good Value Hotel
Posted Jan 22, 2012
Pros: Friendly staff, location: close to airport, in relatively quiet residential area, easy access to historical Prague via tram
Cons: Breakfast pastries used to be much tastier
Location: In relatively quiet residential area, easy access to historical area via tram number 9, grocery store within walking distance
This is not a luxuryhotel. However, it is a great budget hotel with a convenient location close to the airport, with easy access to the historical area of the city. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly. There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel. Breakfast is included and is generous, eventhough it used to be tastier in the past. A gourmet restaurant is accross the street. If you need a basic, relatively inexpensive hotel this is it; you will have all you need and more money in your pocket left to spend on all the fun things to see and do in Prague.

Clean, spacious, & close to airport.

Pros: Large rooms. Breakfast (included). Close to tram line.
Cons: Elevator came out of the Stalin era. Staff seemed unaware of my Expedia reservation, but checked me in anyway.
Location: Convenient for the airport, but a long tram ride to downtown Prague.
A very spartan hotel that evokes the communist era. Clean, spacious rooms. No air conditioning. The taxi ride to the airport was advertised (at the desk) at 420 Kc. Driver wanted 550 Kc. The ride took less than 20 mins (very early Sat morning). Convenient to the airport, but a fairly long tram ride to get into downtown Prague.

Hotel Fortuna West
Posted Jan 31, 2012
The hotel staff was nice, helpful and I always saw someone cleaning. The city center is about a 20 to 25 minute tram and metro ride. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Fortuna West and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind not being close to downtown Prague and needs a clean place to shower and sleep.
