Un de nos meilleurs séjours en hôtel.

Posted Jul 25, 2015

Great location

Pros: expedia
Great location. Steep clime back to the hotel, but there is tram #22 to take and that way the clime can be avoided. Obviously this is an older hotel--part of its charm--but in 97F the room w/o air-conditioning was unbearable. While the unseasonably hot weather certainly not the hotel's fault, a ceiling fan could have been helpful (small fan provided was useless). Across from the hotel was an absinthe bar with loud techno type of music...not great. The hotel staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The same cannot be said about the restaurant staff.... It is a pity because the location and the whole setting really is magnificent.

Absolutely beautiful. My favourite trip of all

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: Everything!
I took my boyfriend here for his 21st birthday. I can honestly say it was the best short trip. The hotel was beautiful. Our room was on the top floor and was so clean and the wooden beams in the bedroom and bathroom just gave it a beautiful touch. The staff was so helpful as my boyfriend had a headache throughout a lot of the trip, they supplied him with aspirin and were just generally so lovely. The breakfast was great, and you get a 15% discount in the hotel restaurant if you're staying there. I cannot tell you enough how wonderful this hotel was, and how wonderful the town is. The location is great (unless you have trouble walking because it's up a hill). The only negative i have, is that the double bed was made up of two single mattresses, however not a huge problem because we were completely knackered from all the exploring that as soon as our face hit the pillow we were asleep. The wifi is also very fast. The bath was huge. I could go on forever, a wonderful hotel, a wonderful town, so cheap and I just cannot wait to come back again and again. Thank you to all of the staff at Hotel Golden Star!

Pros: the room and hotel were clean, located right next to the castles. The area is quiet at night. Cons; the hotel is on a steap hill, every day we had to climb 10 min up. The shower was uncomfortable there was no curtain and the shower head was small and not attached to the ceiling. Every time we took a shower it was a battle of avoiding a flood. Our room had a tiny window so there was never any light. Breakfast food was not very tasty So after the first day we had to go out for breakfast. It is a 3 star hotel at most, not 4.5

Good location, friendly staff

Posted Jun 22, 2015
The hotel is located about 10 minutes from a tram and/or metro stop. One is located at the bottom of the hill and the other at the top. If you are traveling with luggage and arriving at the hotel from the airport, I would use the tram at the top of the hill whereas leaving the hotel I would use the tram at the bottom. Another key location point is the Prague castle, which sits next door! You are about 15 minutes walk to old town and most of the monuments and museums. We included breakfast in our rate - it was a hot, continental with a good variety of foods. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were comfortable. My only issues were a shower that wouldn't drain and no AC so the room got hot and stuffy.

Excellent séjour à Prague

Posted Jun 16, 2015
