“Great modern hotel in perfect location”
Located 2 blocks from main square in Prague with easy walking distance to the main tourist sites in prague. Restaurant is wonderful, staff friendly, and the hotel is clean and modern. Loved it.
“Modern boutique hotel in good location with great service”
Modern sleek design, great location close to major attractions and quiet, cool new amenities, moderate sized room and, most important, very hepfull and friendly staff. Nespresso machine in the room and free unlimited internet access were very usefull. The only thing we didn't like was the carpet in the room and spots on the floor in the bathroom.
“a modern touch in an ancient city”
A very different hotel with a crisp, clean ultramodern design. Excellent layout and housekeeping. Front desk staff were very cordial and most helpful with a variety of requests throughout our 5 day stay. The bar-in-the-lobby was unusual but seemed quite in place. Our room was comfortable, clean and well maintained with adequate storage. The slippers and terry robes were a nice touch. We have only one glaring criticism: Although the dollar was pretty weak against both the Euro and the Czech crown at the time of our visit, the charge for breakfast converted to $33.00/person. This was a stunner, and was very high by anyone's standards. We bought food from the local supermaket and used the room 'fridge to store our breakfasts! Hotel location is perfect: 3-4 minutes walk from the subway and trams and 10-12 minutes brisk walk to Charles bridge. Definitely a hotel we'd recommend for folks who'll pay a little extra for better class.
“Perfect location!”
Prague is a fantastic city with a great nightlife, but once you are ready to relax in your hotel, you want it to be nice and quiet. Right in the middle of everything but on an incredibly quiet street, this hotel is perfect! very clean and staff is incredibly friendly! There is a great bakery around the corner (exit hotel and turn right, then right at the first intersection, it'll be on your right and it's called Paneria) that is great for breakfast or an afternoon snack. Another great cafe is out the front door, turn right, then left at the first intersection... cafe on the left has incredible coffee and awesome laid back decor. there is also a fantastic french restaurant that's very well priced, as well as a great vegetarian restaurant. Head out the front door, turn left straight down the street, turn right at the Buddha Bar, then straight, take the street on the left through the courtyard, turn right after the jazz bar out past the courtyard. The vegetarian place is on the right, the french place on the left. Seriously incredible French food, and the restaurnt is so cute (looks kind of like a pub from the outside, but it's very modern inside). Small tip is to watch out where you take money out and keep your pin number covered as you enter. We had our code swiped, which is apparently quite common in Prague recently. Have fun though!! Prague is fantastic!
“Very impressed.”
excellent hotel and location; Loved the modern nature of hotel.
“Extremely stylish and friendly design hotel in the center of Prague”
1) Extremely good location 2) Nice design, well-furbished rooms 3) Friendly staff.
“Wonderful stay!”
I was extremely satisfied with this very modern hotel. The location is very central; the property and room were beautifully appointed in a ultra modernist and minimalist style; the service was excellent. If I ever get the opportunity to return to Prague (itself an exceptionally beautiful city), I will certainly return to the Hotel Josef!
“An oasis in the center of Prague”
We stayed at Hotel Josef in March 2011. The hotel was within walking distance of all major sites and near very good restaurants and cafes. The staff was helpful with making dinner reservations. The hotel room was quite large as well as the bathroom. The parking garage was expensive, but extremely convenient and secure. The business centre had new computers. We look forward to our next visit to Prague!
“Boutique dream”
Perfect location, rooms and staff in a boutique little world...
“Great Place to Stay in Prague”
Centrally located, ultra modern, very clean, helpful staff and on a quiet street. If looking for old-world atmosphere this isn't for you, but if you want someplace stylish and in the center of town, would highly recommend.
